A huge thank you to Jules Pretty OBE for welcoming me onto his podcast.

Jules has spent decades helping people understand the profound connections between nature, farming, food, health and community, and has inspired countless people to think differently about our relationship with the living world.

It was a real pleasure to sit down and talk about Wild East, the Map of Dreams, and the growing movement of people finding ways to make room for nature once again.

Thank you, Jules, not only for the invitation, but for the years of work you’ve dedicated to helping build a more hopeful future for people and nature alike.

A few pots on a windowsill.

A patch of wild grass.

It might not feel like much, but nature doesn’t need perfection. It needs participation.

Every balcony, garden, verge, planter and forgotten corner can become a small sanctuary for pollinators, birds and wildlife.

Thousands of tiny actions, joined together, become something powerful.

Imagine if every person in Britain gave just a little space back to nature.

📻 Hugh got a call from God this morning. Let us explain.
Last week Hugh visited his old school, Beeston Hall in Norfolk, to talk to a room of very patient children about nature recovery, storytelling and the Map of Dreams. And whilst he was there he said something along the lines of: “Wouldn’t it be extraordinary if someone like Chris Evans mentioned this on the Breakfast Show?”
He was eating his Weetabix this morning when his phone rang.
It was the Chris Evans Breakfast Show.
Just like that. Out of nowhere. A thunderbolt. Wild Kingdom and the Map of Dreams, on the biggest breakfast show in British radio, heard by millions of people up and down the country.
We’re still not entirely over it.
Because this is exactly the point Hugh has been making since the beginning. The missing piece of nature recovery isn’t science or policy or even passion. It’s reach. It’s the moment someone with a genuinely huge platform turns to their audience and says: this matters, go and do something.
