Join at Rodden Nature Reserve TOMORROW (Sun 23rd August). It’ll be a day of exploring and seeing the benefits beavers can bring to our beautiful town. It’ll also be a chance to see how you can get involved with river action!

It’s free!

It’s family friendly!

If you managed to grab some glasses for the partial eclipse, do reuse them for future ones! There is another partial eclipse next year (more “partial” than the one tomorrow) and you can use these glasses again! ♻️

Join us in the fight for a renewable future.

📍The Welcome to Frome sign on Bath road opposite Frome college - What 3 Words - ///worth.wished.idea

⏰ 31st July. 3pm

❓What we want - To urge new PM Andy Burnham to not allow the development of new oil and gas fields in the North Sea

🪧 What shall I bring? Yourself is great but a banner or sign that says Stop Rosebank or no new oil and gas would be great too

See you there 💪

A huge thank you to everyone at Frome Families for the Future for their investment in our Community Share Offer.

36 members clubbed together, each contributing £25, to invest an amazing £900! And they're not alone. We're seeing friends, neighbours, community groups and families coming together to pool their investments so they can be part of this once-in-a-generation opportunity.

We understand that £250 isn't an easy amount for everyone to invest on their own, so we asked if they'd mind sharing with you all what they did. We know there are so many of you who care deeply about the future of our town and might be looking for a way to take part together too.

We understand £250 isn't possible for everyone, and it's really important to us that this is an inclusive movement. Right now, though, we have one opportunity to buy Saxonvale. We're bidding against private developers for a multi-million-pound town centre regeneration site, so our focus has to be on raising the strongest possible investment before we submit our bid. When we're successful in buying Saxonvale, there will be many more opportunities to become a member and invest as the project develops. More information on our share offer here: https://www.crowdfunder.co.uk/p/mayday-saxonvale

If investing isn't possible for you, please don't think you can't play a vital role. Volunteer with us, share our content, tell your friends and family, put a poster in your window, ask your club, workplace or community group to spread the word, introduce us to potential investors or help at one of our events. Every conversation, every share and every act of support helps bring us closer to owning Saxonvale.

Frome Families for the Future is a fantastic local group of parents and families working to create a brighter, fairer and more sustainable future for our children. If you'd like to find out more, check out their website or join their litter pick this Sunday at 10am, meeting at the Frome Canoe Club.

The People’s Emergency Briefing film comes to Frome
🎬 Thursday 21 May at 7pm
📍 Cheese and Grain

Free and paid for tix via link in bio or go to the People’s Emergency Briefing website and find the pin for Frome with ticket link

This screening is a collab between lots of different orgs and people inc and we’d love to see a full hall for this. It’s an important moment.

And if you feel like you’re a bit alone and there’s no one else who cares, then look at the second pic of the map - there are stacks of screenings! 💚📍🌎

* This is a film that brings people together to learn the facts
* MPs and leaders are invited to hear the evidence together - our MP Anna Sabine has been invited
* Current actions are not enough as the impacts are hitting faster than was anticipated
* Impacts will affect our health, national security and food system
* The solutions are available, we just need to take act quickly and we need our government to drive this as personal changes (if you can afford them) will not be enough.

The People’s Emergency Briefing is coming to Frome. And there are ones in Wells, Shepton, Midsomer Norton, so go to the screening map to find other locations …. Link in bio.

Our thanks to for making it possible to host this is in a large accessible space 💚
