📢 New council boundaries confirmed for Somerset – what it means for communities across Glastonbury & Somerton 📢

Last week, the Local Government Boundary Commission for England confirmed the final electoral boundaries for Somerset Council, creating a new political map that will shape local representation ahead of the 2027 council elections.

The review means Somerset Council will move from 110 councillors to 96, helping ensure each councillor represents a similar number of residents and that divisions better reflect local communities.

For communities across the Glastonbury & Somerton constituency - from market towns to rural villages - these changes will determine:
• Which Somerset Council division you vote in
• Who represents your area at Somerset Council

Boundary reviews might sound technical, but they shape how effectively local voices are represented.
