Good luck to all our RAF Air Cadets in Scotland receiving your exam results today! 🍀

We know today can bring a whole mix of emotions, whether you're excited, nervous, relieved, or all three at once.

Whatever's in that envelope, remember that one set of results doesn't define you or your future. There are so many different routes to achieving your goals, and this is just one step on your journey.

Celebrate your successes, be proud of how far you've come, and if things haven't gone quite the way you hoped, remember you're not facing it alone. Your unit staff are always here to support you, cheer you on, and help you figure out what comes next.

What a fantastic two days at the Borders Union Show! 🎉✈️

A huge thank you to everyone who stopped by our stand to chat with us, try out the flight simulator and find out more about what life is like in the RAF Air Cadets. It was brilliant to meet so many young people, parents and members of the local community, and we hope we’ve inspired a few future cadets and adult volunteers along the way!

Events like these simply wouldn’t be possible without the dedication of our volunteers and cadets, so we’d like to say a massive thank you to everyone who gave up their time to represent 2180 (Galashiels) Squadron alongside the RAF Reserves.

Come and meet 2180 (Galashiels) Squadron RAF Air Cadets at the Borders Union Show, where we’ll be alongside the RAF Reserves from 09:00–17:00 on both days at block 11, Stand 117 where we also have some flight simulator fun!

Whether you’re a young person looking for your next adventure or an adult wanting to give something back to your community, we’d love to meet you!

✈️ Call signs officially assigned! 😎

Yesterday, two of our CFAVs escorted five of our cadets who took to the skies with 12 AEF for an unforgettable day of flying… and it certainly wasn’t just a gentle sightseeing trip! 🤩

After experiencing a loop, a stall turn and a barrel roll, we think they’ve more than earned their very own Top Gun-style call signs.
