AFTER ALL OUR FANTASTIC VOLUNTEERS WORKING TIRELESSLY WE HAVE SOME EXCITING NEWS MANY OF YOU HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR!

From tomorrow (29 July) we will be giving you the chance to view the new site at Ravensworth DL11 7EU.
Between 11am and 3pm we will be trialling visits to the site.

These visits will be by appointment and you must book your visit on the day you would like to come. We are using an appointment system because of the limited off road parking (no on road parking is allowed).

Visits are free although we will encourage you to donate to the rebuilding programme.
Enjoy being part of an exciting future for Wetheriggs (subject to planning).

While on site you will also be able to get close to some of our farm animals and renew old acquaintances like our Golden Guernsey Goat Family who have recently been elevated to Royal Status.

Call 07764-352835 to make your appointment on the day you wish to visit, appointments will be on a first come first serve served basis with the appointment line being open between 8am and 10am.

All we ask is you trust our process for gradual opening.

After the torrid times of Covid and 12 months quarantine because of the avian flu pandemic, a pandemic that ravaged the whole country, at last we have a little good news to share.
We have secured a new home for the Rescue Centre!
Although we are still TEMPORARILY CLOSED things should start moving forward.
Firstly thank you all for your continued support through these very traumatic times!
The new site is just outside Ravensworth about 5 miles from Thorpe Farm and just over the border into North Yorkshire.
We still have to go through the various planning stages but once we have and things start to develop we look forward to welcoming you to visit this exciting new project.
Over the coming Whit Bank Holiday Weekend we hope to be able to invite our members to look around the new site and share the plans for what we think is going to be an exciting chapter in the Wetheriggs Story.
We do need two things urgently , FUNDING and VOLUNTEERS .
Also we can announce that we can now rescue WILDLIFE (with the help of other centres) and help with ANIMAL RELATED WELFARE CASES.

As some people my know Wetheriggs Animal Rescue Centre had to close its doors to the public in November due to a case of Avian Influenza.🐍🐇🐁

We have managed to rehome some of our animals but still have some left onsite.🐮🐱🐴

Due to being closed we have lost our income and are looking for donations to help us keep going. If anyone could help either with cash donations (if you visit our website there is a donate button) or buy donating animal food, we are in desperate need of rabbit, cat & ferret food. 🐇🐱🐇🐱

Any thing that you can do no matter how big or small would be most appreciated. ❤️❤️

Wetheriggs Animal Rescue Centre currently has some guinea pigs, degu & chinchilla looking for their forever homes.
They are all of various ages and sexes ( a lot of the ages are unknown due to being rescue animals)
