There’s something truly magical about seeing a steam engine passing by Gawsworth Hall.
For a moment, it feels like stepping back into a bygone era — when the world moved a little slower and journeys were an adventure.
The magnificent sound of the engine, the rhythmic chuffing, the hiss of steam, and that unmistakable smell of coal and hot oil drifting through the air.
And then the wonderful sight of the drivers, their faces blackened with soot, beaming with the biggest smiles as they proudly bring these incredible machines back to life.👏
A little piece of history passing by our doorstep… and what an absolute delight it is. ❤️
