Let's keep on the roads
attended a 14 vehicle collision on the M25 J16-17 under the Chalfont (Give Peas A Chance) Viaduct. The collision included cars, vans and a lorry with vehicles braking and shunting each other.
The clockwise carriageway was blocked due to the damaged vehicles and amazingly there were no serious injuries. A testament to modern vehicle safety standards.
It was an impressive multi-agency response that allowed us to promptly open two lanes to help ease the congestion, but thank you to those trapped in the traffic for your patience π
There are often a number of factors involved in this type of incident, such as following too closely and being distracted. Remember to keep a good distance between you and the vehicle in front and focus on the road ahead π
