Medway Community Healthcare Medway Community Healthcare is a social enterprise and Community Interest Company (CIC), providing community NHS services to the people of Medway.

Medway Community Healthcare (MCH) is an award winning social enterprise and Community Interest Company (CIC) established in 2011. We were originally formed from the services directly provided by NHS Medway and have a strong history of partnership working with a number of local stakeholders including Medway Council, Medway Maritime Hospital, local Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCGs), NHS England

and many more. We're a £59 million business with over 1,300 staff and as a social enterprise, we are free to invest any profit we make into further improving our services, and into our local communities. We're incredibly proud of what we do, and all of our achievements reflect the passion, dedication and commitment demonstrated by our staff across all services. ⚠️Kent Fire and Rescue Service crews are now advising people living in to close their windows and doors as the wind direction has changed and smoke from the fire is now moving towards the area.

Six fire engines remain in attendance and crews are working hard to extinguish the fire.

Final update at 8.30pm on 4 June:

⚠️ People living or travelling near Gas Road in Sittingbourne are no longer being advised to close windows and doors due to smoke coming from a fire at an industrial premises.

A revisit to the site is being made for 8am tomorrow to check for any remaining hotspots.

⚠️ People living or working near to Gas Road in are still being advised to close windows and doors due to smoke coming from an incident.

Crews remain at the scene and are working to extinguish the fire.

⚠️ Firefighters are continuing to make steady progress at the scene of a fire involving electrical waste at an industrial premises in Gas Road, .

Due to smoke coming from the incident, people in the affected area are still advised to keep windows and doors closed.

Yesterday, saw the official launch of the James Williams Healthy Living Centre. Named after Medway Council late Director of Public Health, James Williams.

The centre is funded by NHS Kent and Medway and Medway Council and managed by Medway Community Healthcare. It is located on the first floor of the Pentagon Shopping Centre and provides general practice services and a range of other health services in the centre of the Chatham community.
