Delighted to say that the Woodlands (In Hempstead) illegal scrap metal site has finally been cleared and has ceased operation.

This has taken a number of years to achieve including a public enquiry at which Cllr Jim Gilbourne and Cllr Andrew Lawrence attended.

Cllr Andrew Lawrence met with a resident this morning concerned with the state of Fairview Avenue. Whilst there has been some progress on road repairs there remains a lot more to do.

Delighted after many emails from Ward Cllr’s Andrew Lawrence and Jim Gilbourne the bottom of Hempstead Road has finally been resurfaced.

Your local Cllr’s Jim Gilbourne and Andrew Lawrence have secured a meeting with Council Officers who run the library service to discuss the planning application affecting Hempstead Library.

We are also discussing aspects of planning law with the Chief Planning Officer which would give the Planning Committee legitimate grounds to turn down the application.

Please send your objection to the Council this week.

Your Councillors are working with Officers to find away of replacing cut down trees in Bredhurst Road.

Unfortunately, the Labour run administration has cut £800K from the Green Services budget so we are having to be creative.
