🚨 332 Edinburgh Road update 🚨
After much discussion with local residents and planning officers, your SNP councillors are pleased to let residents know that the application to use 332 Edinburgh Road as co-living accommodation has been refused and the community's wishes have been respected. We do not know yet what the owner's next steps will be but will continue to work to find a solution that benefits the community. We are very supportive of the development of a Local Place Plan for Carntyne and Riddrie which would identify the priorities of the community and send a message to property owners and developers about what is needed to develop our land and spaces for the benefit of our people.

Following last night's Cranhill Community Council meeting and the concerns expressed by residents, Councillor Annette Christie and I have submitted an objection to this application. Crowlin Crescent is a residential street with many local shops in easy walking distance, and the street is so narrow that delivery vehicles would risk blocking the road.

So we will be objecting to the shop application at no 6 Crowlin Crescent the old housing office we had a vote tonight and it was an unanimous decision we feel Crowlin Crescent is bad enough for traffic without trying to get delivery vans etc adding to the traffic
We will put a draft of our objection and our point of objection up if you would like to object yourself

So yesterday we had a number of people from the local authorities and a member from the women’s protection group along with the friends of the park group and the area partnership walk through the park they have discussed safety for everyone including CCTV in the park they also discussed bringing the park back into a state that it can be used by all and the overall maintenance of the park these discussions went well this is the first step in the journey of the friend of the park group and all the area partners to regenerate the park for the community
Well done to everyone involved

Including Cranhill Development Trust and Fuse, among others, delivering programmes in East Centre again this year.

Glasgow's successful holiday programme will run again this year, delivering food and activities during school breaks to 190,000 children. Under John Swinney’s reliable, trusted leadership we're delivering the best cost of living support on these islands and if re-elected we will go even further.
