Chalmers Court staff recently joined the annual Flower Walk in Ayr to remember those we have lost to su***de or overdose.

It was an emotional day, bringing together people from services and communities across the area.

Together, we remembered those who are no longer with us, supported one another and stood alongside everyone working to save lives.

đź’™Thinking of everyone who attended and everyone remembering someone they have lost.

Some of the most powerful words about our work come from the people we support.

At a recent celebration event at one of our services, supported people were invited to share their thoughts about what Blue Triangle means to them.

This letter really says it all — safety, stability, support, privacy, confidence and the opportunity to work towards independence.

We're so grateful to the person who took the time to put their thoughts into words and share them with us.

đź’™ Thank you!

The note reads: "Blue Triangle- Safety & Security: Somewhere to sleep, and call home. Stability: have security instead of where am i going to stay every night. Support from staff: can help with any difficulties I have. A chance to rebuild your life: having that stable place 'till I get own home. Independence: develop skills to be more confident in managing my own life. Privacy & personal space - I have somewhere comfortable. Feeling Valued: People are in the same situation as me. I really appreciate my supported accommodation because after experiencing my situation. It gives me a safe and stable place to live. I am so grateful for my support from staff and the opportunity to work towards becoming more independent. Having somewhere to stay has helped."

Know a brilliant fundraiser looking for a new challenge?

We're looking for a Fundraising Lead to join our award-winning team as we continue to grow.

It's a brand-new role with the chance to bring fresh ideas and experience to our organisation, from building partnerships to developing creative campaigns and growing our supporter base.

Alongside flexible working and wellbeing support, they'll be joining a team working across Scotland to help people build a future beyond homelessness.

Homelessness can happen anywhere — including the towns, villages and rural communities across Scotland.

This week, we want to give a wee shout out to our staff and teams supporting people in their local areas every day.

From busy towns to more rural spots, they're there to provide a safe place to stay, practical support and someone to turn to when it's needed.

We're proud of the work they do and the difference it makes.

Every episode of our A Voice in the Dark podcast tells a different story.

From growing up in foster care and becoming a young parent, to supporting others facing similar experiences.

From fleeing homophobia at home, to rebuilding independence after homelessness.

From struggling with addiction after a devastating bereavement, to finding the strength to ask for help.

From losing everything to he**in addiction, to rebuilding confidence and a new future.

From sleeping rough at 16, to becoming Chairman of a successful company.

We're incredibly grateful to everyone who's shared their story with honesty, courage and hope.

If you've missed an episode, or fancy listening again, now's the perfect time to catch up.

Recovery isn't always a straight line.

Sometimes it's about having people around you who continue to offer support, encouragement and a safe place to turn, whatever stage of the journey you're at.

We're very proud of M and the steps they're taking towards their next chapter.

đź’™Thank you for sharing your experience and reminding us why compassionate, non-judgemental support matters.

We'd like to say a big thank you to Christ Church, Lanark and everyone in the church community for the fantastic support they continue to give our Lanark service. đź’™

Every Monday, members of the church come along with soup, cake and, just as importantly, time for a chat with the people we support.

Their support doesn't stop there. The church also provides starter packs for people moving into their new homes, filled with some of the essential items they need to get settled. One of the parishioners also repairs and donates bicycles, giving people the chance to get out and about and make the most of their local community.

đź’™It's this kind of kindness, practical support and community connection that can make such a difference.
