Glasgow University Labour Club

Glasgow University Labour Club Society for members and supporters of the Labour Party at the University of Glasgow since 1946.

Glasgow University Labour Club is one of the oldest Labour clubs in Britain, but we’re no relic of the past and today we are the voice of democratic socialism on campus. Our members are part of the active Labour and Trade Union movement, working in solidarity with trade unionists and fellow students across the UK. Current members follow in the footsteps of past club activists as diverse as Donald

Dewer, John Smith, Des Browne, Wendy Alexander, and Margaret Curran, but the aims and principles of our membership have always remained constant: We believe in fighting for a fair and equal society, free from prejudice, poverty and war. Redistributing wealth; restructuring society in the interests of the masses, giving everyone an opportunity to realise their full potential – that's what GULC stands for.
