Great to be invited to take part in **Exercise Armoured Rescue 2026**at Bovington as part of our Heavy Rescue training.

Over the course of the exercise, we worked alongside military personnel and fellow emergency service colleagues, developing and practising specialist rescue techniques involving armoured vehicles. Training included complex casualty extrication, heavy lifting, stabilisation, and joint incident management in challenging scenarios.

These opportunities are invaluable in building skills, strengthening multi-agency partnerships, and ensuring we're prepared for the most demanding rescue incidents.

A huge thank you to everyone involved for an excellent and well-organised exercise. 🚒💪

On Tuesday 23rd June we will be holding a recruitment evening from 1900-2100! So please if you are interested in becoming an on-call firefighter and work or live in Street come on down!

Our crew will be there to answer any questions you have as well as showing what being an on-call firefighter is all about 🚒🔥👨‍🚒👩‍🚒

Glastonbury firefighters set up at Tesco, washed a lot of cars, and somehow raised £2,377 for The Fire Fighters Charity.

That’s more than double last year’s total, which suggests either Glastonbury has got more generous, or everyone’s cars were absolutely filthy. Either way, fair play.
