Engineer and Civil Military Interaction (ECMI) comprises a number of Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) in engineering, logistics, infrastructure, Environmental Protection, Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD), Counter-Improvised Explosive Device (C-IED), Military Search, Geospatial Support (Geo) and Civil Military Interaction. The Branch contributes to the Allied Rapid Reaction Corps's (ARRC) core planni

ng process through the provision of Engineer situational awareness, Command and Control (C2) of Engineer assets, geospatial analysis and the operationalising of the Comprehensive Approach through its Civil Military Interaction (CMI) cell. The ECMI Branch structure is as follows:

Engineer Operations/Plans Cell
Provides planning advice, coordination and control of the full range of engineer capabilities:
-Mobility
-Counter-mobility
-Infrastructure
-Survivability
-EOD
-Search

Engineer Logistics/Infrastructure Cell
Provides engineer infrastructure advice and guidance and the principal conduit for infrastructure funding. Additionally provides engineer logistics C2 and materiel support. Civil Military Interaction Cell
Optimises HQ ARRC's actions within a Comprehensive Approach. The CMI Cell, supported by the Stabilisation Planner and an integrated Civil Planning Element (CPE), enable civilian-military interaction with host nations, international organisations and non-governmental organisations. Geospatial Cell
Enables shared understanding and effective decision making; additionally coordinates the provision of mapping geospatial data and related products to the force.
