Every year, we are absolutely blown away by the incredible generosity shown towards Jamats Academy and our annual Christmas Raffle!
Year after year, the prizes donated to us are nothing short of AMAZING, and thanks to the kindness of local businesses, families, friends and our wonderful supporters, our Christmas Raffle just keeps getting bigger and better! 🎅🎉

Well… this year, we want to make it our BIGGEST and BEST one yet! 🤩🎁

We're officially starting our collection of Christmas Raffle prizes, and we're reaching out to our fantastic community once again for your support!

Whether it's a gift voucher, hamper, bottle, experience, gift set or anything else that would make a fantastic prize, we would be incredibly grateful for any donations, big or small!

They’re all ready for collection and we’d love to see them go to a new home rather than go to waste! ♻️

🎉 16 YEARS OF JAMATS! 🎉 - And some Pretty Big News...

September 2010 ➡️ September 2026 ❤️

This month marks 16 years since Jamats first opened its doors.

So, to celebrate, we’ve gone back through the archives and picked out 16 photos — one from every year of our journey so far. 📸

16 years of memories.
16 years of friendships.
16 years of laughter.
16 years of trips, activities, parties and achievements.
And most importantly… 16 years of some truly incredible people being part of the Jamats family. ❤️

We’ve changed a lot since that very first year in 2010, but one thing has never changed — our ambition to keep making Jamats bigger, better and full of opportunities for the people we support.

And that brings us to photo number 16… 👀

Because 2026 isn't just another year in the Jamats story.

Such great news! 🚌

We’re really pleased to see the announcement that disabled bus pass holders will be able to travel for FREE at all times of the day from April 2027! 🙌

Removing the current time restrictions will give people much more freedom, independence and flexibility when travelling — something we know can make a real difference to so many of our members and their families.

A really positive step towards making public transport more accessible and inclusive for everyone. 👏

🎨 Getting Creative at Jamats! ✂️✨

We are super excited to be at Geek Out Gloucester this Saturday!
This will be our first event. We will have consoles and our adaptive controllers for everyone to try, as well as some PlayABLE freebies for you to take away.
Our team will be there to chat all things PlayABLE too, so come along and say hi! We’d love to meet you.
There are tons of other awesome activities going on throughout the day too so be there or be square! 👾
Geek Out Gloucester is from 11am-4pm at King's Quarter and Eastgate Shopping Centre!

🌟 Tomorrow is the Big Health Day! 🌟

We're looking forward to another fantastic day promoting health, wellbeing, and community connections alongside so many brilliant local organisations.

The Jamats team will be there all day with our own stall, where you can find out more about what we do, meet the team, and learn about the exciting future of Jamats. We will also be running one of our interactive Leader In Me sessions, which everyone attending is welcome to join, helping to build confidence, teamwork, communication, and leadership skills.
