The skate ramp is undergoing repairs and is currently unsafe to use

Please DO NOT use the ramp until the red and white tape has been removed

It will reopen as soon as the repairs have been completed

🔨 Holmbury St. Mary Projects 🔨

After many years, two of our historical structures in Holmbury have recently been given a much needed revamp - The Holmbury Pump and the noticeboard by St. Mary's Church

Both projects have been completed to a high standard which will keep them in good shape for years to come!

E-Coli Update - Low Risk

Following recent concerns about high levels of E-Coli being found in The Tillingbourne river at Abinger Hammer, The River Wey Trust readings from 17th July 2026 indicate the readings are now low risk. This includes the site at the Swimming Pool in Shere.

In conjunction with Water Rangers, Surrey University, and Zero Guildford, the Trust is supporting a public 'community lab' facility which allows us to test for coliform and e.coli in the waters. After a long wait we now have stock of food waste caddies at Tanyard Hall, Station Rd, Gomshall (next to Budgens)

They are located in the car park opposite the hall entrance in the green cupboard and can be collected at any time.

Simon Charles Hallett has been duly elected to Shere Parish Council to serve and represent Shere South West Ward
