✨ Wing Drill Development Day ✨
On Saturday, cadets from across the wing took part in the Drill Development Day hosted by 44F (City of Bradford) Squadron Air Cadets
Representing 2357 Goole Squadron were Flight Sergeant Billany and Sergeant Buckle, who put in a fantastic effort throughout the day 💪
The session focused on foot drill and banner drill, helping sharpen skills, build confidence, and prepare for upcoming competitions — with drill being a key part of developing teamwork, discipline, and pride as cadets.
A huge thank you to the staff for facilitating and delivering such a valuable day of training 👏
We’re looking forward to seeing all that hard work pay off in the competitions ahead!

But today, we also want to shine a spotlight on the incredible adult staff who make it all possible and we are incredibly proud to share that, following a rigorous and well-deserved selection process, Acting Pilot Officer Earle has now officially been appointed as Pilot Officer at 2357 (Goole) Squadron. Congratulations Plt Officer Earle! 🎉👏
Already a valued member of the 2357 family, Plt Officer Earle’s journey is a fantastic example of commitment and progression within RAFAC. Starting out as a cadet, then stepping up as a Civilian Instructor, and now joining the ranks of our Uniformed Staff — this is a truly inspiring achievement!

What an incredible achievement – Blue Wings officially earned! 💙🪽
To gain this prestigious badge, Cadet Gomersall has successfully completed all three core aviation elements:
✅ Flying Operations – mastering the ground school training syllabus
✅ Simulator Training – building skills through aviation simulators
✅ Airborne Sortie – taking to the skies in a real aircraft! ✈️
But that’s not all…
🎤 Also passing Presentation Skills training!
Cadet Gomersall has developed key public speaking skills including:

As National Volunteer Week comes to a close, we would like to take a moment to thank all of our amazing Cadet Force Adult Volunteers. Our small team of CFAV work tirelessly to ensure our cadets have access to countless opportunities and experiences, shaping their RAFAC careers and helping them on their journey into adult life. From keeping their own training up to date, organising events or making our parade evenings exciting, the commitment of our CFAV is unmatched.
We also thank our colleagues across South & West Yorkshire Wing, who often have a great influence on our young cadets at off squadron events and are always on hand with support when needed.
