🎉 Congratulations to Cdt Beadle and Cdt Keras on successfully achieving their Leading Cadet Classification! 👏
This is a significant achievement within the Royal Air Force Air Cadets classification system and demonstrates their commitment to developing their aviation knowledge and practical skills. To earn this qualification, each cadet must first achieve First Class Cadet status before completing further training and passing examinations in three core subjects:
🔹 Basic Navigation Using Map & Compass
Learning about types of north, route planning, compass use, and the impact of weather on land navigation.
🔹 Principles of Flight
Understanding the forces that enable aircraft to fly, including lift, weight, thrust, drag, stability, and control of fixed-wing, rotary-wing, and glider aircraft.
🔹 Airmanship Knowledge
Studying airfield operations, rules of the air, and military aircraft recognition and identification.
Achieving the Leading Cadet Classification is an important step in a cadet's progression and showcases their growing knowledge of aviation and the wider RAF Air Cadets organisation. It also opens the door to further advancement towards Senior, Master, and Staff Cadet classifications, as well as a wide range of specialist training opportunities and qualifications.
The award of the leading cadet classification badge recognises the hard work, dedication, and commitment these cadets have shown throughout their training journey.
Well done to all our newly qualified Leading Cadets. We are incredibly proud of your achievement and look forward to seeing you continue to develop, challenge yourselves, and succeed within 2357 (Goole) Squadron!

This is a fantastic accomplishment that recognises the successful completion of all three core aviation elements of the Blue Wings programme:
✅ Flying Operations – mastering the ground school training syllabus
✅ Simulator Training – developing aviation knowledge and skills through flight simulators
✅ Airborne Sortie – taking to the skies in a real aircraft! ✈️
The Blue Wings Badge is awarded to cadets who have demonstrated dedication, enthusiasm, and commitment to developing their aviation knowledge and practical flying experience. It represents an important milestone in a cadet's aviation journey and provides a strong foundation for future opportunities within the RAF Air Cadets.

A huge well done to Cdt Buckle on successfully achieving their RAFAC Blue Musician Badge! 👏🎵
To achieve this qualification, cadets must demonstrate a recognised level of musical proficiency, typically through a Grade 3 practical music examination or an equivalent assessment. This fantastic achievement recognises the dedication, talent, and commitment shown in developing their musical abilities.

This badge recognises cadets who have developed their skills on a variety of instruments, including:
🔹 Brass Instruments 🔹 Woodwind Instruments
🔹 String Instruments 🔹 Percussion Instruments

The qualification showcases not only musical talent but also the discipline, perseverance, and confidence that come from learning and performing music.

Music plays an important role within the RAF Air Cadets, offering opportunities to perform at events, participate in ceremonial occasions, develop teamwork skills, and build confidence both on and off parade.

Congratulations to Cdt Anton on successfully completing Blue Foundation Leadership Award! 👏🎉
The RAFAC Blue Leadership Badge is an important milestone that introduces cadets to the fundamentals of leadership and team management. To achieve this award, cadets must complete leadership theory training, pass an assessment, and successfully lead and participate in practical leadership exercises.
Cdt Anton demonstrated excellent communication, teamwork, problem-solving skills, and the confidence needed to lead small teams through a variety of challenges. The hard work, commitment, and determination paid off, earning a well-deserved Blue Leadership Badge.
Well done on this fantastic achievement — we look forward to seeing you continue to develop your leadership skills and take on new challenges in the future! 💙

What a journey it has been! 💙✈️

Back in February 2020, Beth began her RAF Air Cadets journey as a cadet with 2357 (Goole) Squadron. Over the next five years, Beth showed dedication, commitment, and determination, progressing through the ranks and achieving the rank of Sergeant.

When her time as a cadet came to an end, Beth wasn't ready to say goodbye to the squadron family. In November 2025, she stayed on as a Civilian Instructor, continuing to support and inspire the next generation of cadets with the same enthusiasm and commitment she showed throughout her cadet career.

As Beth now leaves the 2357 (Goole) Squadron family to begin an exciting new chapter in her working life, we want to take this opportunity to thank her for everything she has given to the squadron over the years. Her contribution, dedication, and support have been greatly appreciated, and she will be missed by staff and cadets alike.

From everyone at 2357 (Goole) Squadron, we wish you every success and happiness in the future, Beth. Good luck in your next adventure, and remember that you will always be part of the 2357 family! 💙
