🤝 International Day of Friendship

In Rugby League, friendship is built through shared challenges, mutual respect and standing shoulder to shoulder, no matter which Service you represent.

At UK Armed Forces Rugby League, players from the Royal Navy, British Army and Royal Air Force come together as one team, creating friendships that extend far beyond the final whistle.

Today, we celebrate the teammates, coaches, officials, volunteers and supporters who make our game stronger. Thank you for the friendships, the memories and the unwavering support that unite our Armed Forces Rugby League community.

Because while rivalries exist on the field, friendship is what brings us together.

It wasn’t the result they were hoping for, but plenty to be proud of. 💪🏉

Congratulations to Army Rugby League Women on a hard-fought performance against Bristol Ferns in the Women’s Southern Championship. While disappointment will be felt today, the foundations laid throughout the season provide plenty to build on.

Attention now turns to the Inter-Services Championship, which is just around the corner. We can’t wait to see the Army, RAF and Royal Navy go head-to-head once again in what promises to be another fantastic showcase of Armed Forces Rugby League.

Best of luck to all three Services as preparations continue. 👏

Alas it was not to be...

The Army Rugby League Women go down with a fight in the Women's Southern Championship against a well drilled and confident Bristol Ferns side.

Disappointment today but much to look forward to after a great season.

The Inter-Services Competition starts in just 6 weeks time and we're looking forward to some fantastic action against the RAF Rugby League and Royal Navy Rugby League.

🇬🇧 Good luck to one of our own, Capt Ella Donnelly (RAMS), as she earns her first England Rugby League cap this weekend! 🏉

Ella will make her England Women debut against France in Toulouse, a fantastic achievement and a testament to her hard work, dedication, and commitment to the game.

Everyone at UK Armed Forces Rugby League is incredibly proud to see one of our representatives reach the international stage.

TERMS OF REFERENCE (ToR)

UK ARMED FORCES RUGBY LEAGUE (UKAFRL) WOMEN’S XIII TEAM MANAGER

Supporting:

- Director of Representative Rugby (DRR)

Supported by:

- Women’s Head Coach

1. The UKAFRL Women’s XIII Team Manager (WTM) is responsible for ensuring that the UKAFRL receives the widest possible player pool for representative consideration through UKAFRL and Single Service (Ss) Women’s Team activities.

2. Working through the Director of Representative Rugby (DRR) they have the delegated authority from the Executive Committee (EC) to ensure that the UKAFRL Women’s team is supported and administered effectively to deliver successful Rugby League activities.

3. Ensure clear and accurate communications throughout the Women’s Team and wider areas of responsibility both internally and externally to the UKAFRL.

4. The WTM is to liaise with all UKAFRL Women’s backroom staff and players to facilitate and prepare for UKAFRL Womens Team fixtures and liaise with sS RL counterparts (if required)

5. The WTM is to organise all team logistics (inclusive of travel, venue and accommodation) in conjunction with support to coaching staff and kit manager responsibilities.

6. Uphold and follow safety protocols set out within the UKAFRL Safety Management Plan (SMP). Ensuring all staff and players are adequately briefed and compliant with relevant safety processes.

7. Ensure that the highest professional standards are maintained at all times in accordance with the UKAFRL Codes of Conduct. Lead team discipline and develop team spirit in line with Ethos, Core Values and Standards of their sS.

8. Take pro-active measures to ensure that UKAFRL is inclusive in its approach to participation in sport.

9. Pro-actively search for new talent for the Women’s Team through Ss level engagement and coach discussion.

10. Ensure regular lines of communication with COO and all TMs to ensure effective UKAFRL activity.
