Lovely new map of Gosport by local illustrator Emma Paxton. 1 of 3 to be displayed on the digital screens installed in Gosport when the Lib Dems ran the Council. Action on fly-tipping: Good to see our local Lib Dem Councillors campaigning to clear fly-tipping in Gosport.

Good to see Portsmouth Liberal Democrats vote to give the Freedom of the City to the RNLI. Shocking to see Reform voted against. Lib Dems support the RNLI saving lives at sea.

Good to see Lib Dem Councillor Peter Chegwyn taking action to get Forton Road resurfaced. So many roads need resurfacing in Gosport but sadly the Conservative:Reform County Council continues to cut the highways maintenance budget.

Gosport's free-to-use community skips are at Walpole Park South car park this Saturday, 9.30-11.30am. It's your last chance to use them before Conservative & Reform Councillors scrap the free skips scheme. Worth noting that in the past 18 months 2200 pedestrians, 2947 cars and 154 vans used the community skips. This is an estimated 150 Gosport residents every session, on average 75 people every hour. All these people will be forced to book a trip to the Tip in future (if they can get there) now the Conservative:Reform-run Council are scrapping the free-to-use skips.

ACTION! As always, when something needs doing in Gosport, it's our Liberal Democrat Councillors who act to get things done.

ACTION! I've asked the Council's 'Clean Team' to remove this old freezer which has been left dumped on the pavement in Forton Road near Victoria Street for over 2 weeks now.

Sad news.

Gosport Liberal Democrats are very sorry to hear of the sad death of former Labour Councillor Dennis Wright who, with his late wife Jill, gave a lifetime of service to the people of Bridgemary & Gosport. Our thoughts are with his family & friends. Funeral tomorrow (Tuesday), 12.15 at Portchester Crematorium.

Good News for Gosport! Plans to merge our town into a new 'mega-council' have been withdrawn. Yet another Govt. U-Turn but this one is welcome. Liberal Democrat have always said that decisions on Gosport's future are best taken by elected Gosport Councillors of whatever party, not by councillors from Portsmouth, Fareham, East Hampshire or Havant.
