Employment and Training Unit The Employment and Training Unit helps Falkirk residents to gain the work experience and qualifications they need to compete in the labour market.

If you are a parent who is considering entering work in the future then we may be able to help. We have a whole team dedicated to supporting local parents prepare and eventually find work.

You may be eligible for this funded support if identify as:
-Lone parent
- Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic
- Youngest child under 1 year
- Parent aged under 25
- Disabled parent
- Parent with 3+ children

- Emergency First Aid
- Customer Service
- Manual Handling
- Telephone Skills
- Health and Safety

These skills-based short courses help build your CV and add accredited training that may be just what you need to stand out to an employer.

2️⃣ Add your hobbies and interests to your CV - this adds personality.
3️⃣ Don't limit yourself. Keep an open mind to opportunities you wouldn't have initially considered and go for it!
