Memorial Trout lakes- Belvoir Castle

Memorial Trout lakes- Belvoir Castle Fly-fishing for Rainbow Trout, in idyllic surroundings at Belvoir castle

Following extensive renovations to multiple historic lakes on the estate, the Memorial Fishing Lakes at Belvoir Castle, Leicestershire, are finally open to the public. Originally conceived over 200 years ago by country’s greatest landscape architect, Capability Brown, his plans have just been finally realised in line with the tercentenary of his birth. The lakes have been stocked with 300 stunning Belleau Bridge rainbow trouts between 1.5 and 5 lbs in weight.
