Dear Resident,
Thank you for taking the time to review the proposals for bus priority along the A226 Rochester Road, and for submitting your comments as part of the recent engagement process which concluded on Monday 7 September 2026.
We appreciate the feedback that has been received from residents to date, and we understand the importance of considering local views when developing proposals such as these. All comments submitted during this period have been carefully reviewed and recorded.
Following the close of this initial process, a full and detailed review of all representations received will now be undertaken. Each submission will be considered on its merits, with due regard given to the important issues highlighted by residents, businesses, and other stakeholders. The outcome of this review will be used to inform the future development of any proposal and to support the decision-making process moving forward.
Upon completion of this review, the project team will look to work closely with the relevant stakeholders to determine an agreed approach and to identify any amendments that may be appropriate in response to the feedback received. Once the proposals have been refined and a preferred option has been established, a further round of statutory consultation will be undertaken at a later date.
It is important to note that whilst this review is underway, there are no immediate plans to progress with any of these proposals.
