The exhibition, at the Thameside Complex until 15 May, is part of our commemorations marking the 80th anniversary of VE Day

This May, we are marking the 80th anniversary of Victory in Europe (VE) Day, and we want you to join in.

A special exhibition telling the personal stories of local people who lived through this time will be held at the Thameside Complex from 12 April to 15 May.

Our commemorations on Thursday 8 May begin at 9am with a flag raising at the Town Hall. There will be services at the Grays War Memorial and the Tilbury Memorial at 11am.

Just a reminder that the Chadwell St Mary Labour Team hold their ward surgeries from 11am to 12 noon on the second Saturday of each month.

Our next surgery is this Saturday 8th February at Chadwell Library from 11am to 12 noon.

A Big Thank You from your Chadwell St Mary Councillors to everyone who attended the Chadwell St Mary "Communities in Action" Public Engagement event on Saturday 25th January.

Everyone who attended the drop in event, agreed that it was a wonderful day, which created opportunities for Chadwell residents to connect over fun activities and food! 🎨🥖🖌🪕🎸🎵

We had live music from Phil and local Chadwell St Mary treasure Reg Goldsmith, on his ukulele. 🪕🎶🎸

It was a good opportunity for different groups and age groups to come together to celebrate what is good about living in Chadwell and to make suggestions which will feed into the Chadwell Community Plan.

This is the beginning of a pilot project, engaging residents in producing plans for how to shape their local areas moving forward.
