We're inviting all Towerfield and Vicarage Lane allotment holders, along with members and volunteers of the Community Allotment, to enter our photo competition for a chance to win a £20 Abercorn Garden Centre Voucher! 🏆🌱

Do you have a photo that captures the best of allotment life? Whether it's a bumper harvest, beautiful flowers, visiting wildlife, your favourite fruit or vegetable, or simply a view of your plot that makes you proud, we'd love to see it!

💔 LOST CAT: LEXI (LEACH CLOSE AREA) 💔
Please keep an eye out for Lexi, who went missing on 13.08.26 from Leach Close. She is an indoor cat, new to the area, and does not know her way home.

🐾 Appearance: Black and white markings, white chest/paws, pink nose, green eyes.
⚠️ Behavior: Very skittish. DO NOT CHASE as she will run.

If you spot her, please contact the owners immediately.

🌞🎶 Sandon Summer Festival is Back! 🎶🌞

Join the Sandon Summer Festival on Sunday 30th August, from 1pm to 8pm at Sandon Recreation Ground for a fantastic day of family fun.

🏡 Have Your Say on a Proposed Housing Development in Great Baddow
Great Baddow Parish Council is inviting residents to a public meeting on Thursday 6th August at 6.30pm at the Parish Hall to discuss an outline planning application at Field Rear of Telephone Exchange, Church Street, Great Baddow, Chelmsford
Application No: 26/00837/OUT

The proposal is for: A phased development of up to 45 dwellings (including affordable housing), public open space, landscaping, sustainable drainage infrastructure and all other associated infrastructure.

This is your opportunity to raise concerns and share your views before the application is determined.

Your comments will help shape the Parish Council's formal response, which will be discussed at the Planning Committee meeting on 7 September 2026 - this is also a public meeting, which residents are invited to attend.
