A child's bike had been booked in today for a service and repairs. The bottom bracket was loose and almost out of the frame resulting in the pedals unable to work properly and the chain off. We managed to fully repair it and make it safe for use again.

If you need a service or repairs done on your bicycle please contact our office on 01475325065 and ask for Chris to get it booked in for an appointment.

A Statement from the Chair

Our recent Cycle Cabin post was a beautiful and positive celebration of something good happening within our community. I am deeply saddened that it attracted comments that were either overtly xenophobic or only thinly veiled.

As Chair of Belville, I want to be absolutely clear: this type of discourse will not be permitted on our page or within our organisation. I have deleted such comments and blocked the accounts responsible. Wherever I see it, I will continue to do so.

Belville is here to support anyone who presents with a need and treats our team with respect. If we are able to help, we will—regardless of nationality, ethnicity or background.

The positive spirit of the original Cycle Cabin post represents Belville and the community we want to foster. Xenophobia does not.

This group of young people who are supported by Inverclyde HSCP were very happy to be receiving refurbished bicycles from Chris, Belville's fully qualified bicycle mechanic, and his group of bicycle maintenance volunteers.

We are able to do this to help the community of Inverclyde through funding from CyclingUK and SPT People and Place Programme.
