As part of this year's Comet Festival, Newark Castle will be offering FREE admission! Find out about this local landmark and historic treasure. Free guided tours also available courtesy of the Inverclyde Tourist Group 10am and 1.30pm.

👉Spot the exquisite Jacobean details on the exterior that make Newark one of the finest buildings of its time.

👉Go ‘below stairs’ for a wonderful glimpse into the working lives of the castle’s servants.

👉Peek inside the little bedchamber to see the charming, late 16th-century bed-press, wall panelling and painted ceiling.

The new Comet replica in Port Glasgow will be formally unveiled this Saturday 20 June, just before the Comet Festival takes place from 12 noon in Coronation Park with fabulous selection of free family entertainment and Comet themed activities & workshops.

Have an idea for a new business or looking for your existing business to develop and grow?💡

Business Gateway in conjunction with Inverclyde Councils Business Development Team are offering new-start and business support drop-in sessions across multiple dates and locations in Inverclyde between February and July.

Dates and locations for June are as follows:

Tuesday 23 June:
📍Port Glasgow Library, 10am – 1pm

Wednesday 24 June:
📍South West Library, 10am – 1pm

Thursday 25 June:
📍Gourock Library, 1pm – 4pm
