CPO Creating Positive Opportunity

Our mission is: To motivate, educate, inform & inspire

CPO is a social enterprise which specialises in creating positive opportunities for the local community. As an organisation we focus on social regeneration through training and up-skilling those members of the community that are seen as ‘hard to reach’, who suffer from social exclusion due to their location, age, or social and financial situation. Our main aim is to improve the employability prosp

ects of our clients but our support is very holistic and person-centred, meaning that we will offer advice and guidance on whatever each individual wants support with. We currently work with excluded pupils, adult community members who won’t engage with traditional learning, and NEETs – including lone parents.

Amazing things happen when a community come together.

A huge thank you to our friend Frank Sparkes - North Wall Cleaner and his team, the Wi******er allotment group, our brilliant volunteers at CPO and our inspiring young learners!! Your time, energy and teamwork made this happen.

The sun was shining, but that did not slow anyone down. Everyone got stuck in and supported eachother.

This is what a community is all about. People all coming together, sharing skills and building something meaningful.

Our allotment will be a space where people can learn and grow and we are so proud of what we are building together!! 🌱 🌼 🌞

✨ Feel good story incoming ✨

At the heart of what we do are moments like these. ❤️

Penny, our incredible Outreach Dementia Support Worker, recently spent the day with Paul, one of the wonderful people living with dementia who accesses our services. Together, they revisited a pub Paul proudly ran with his family back in the 1980s — a place filled with memories, laughter, and so much of his life story.

As they walked through the doors, memories began to flood back. Stories were shared, smiles appeared, and for a moment, the years melted away. It wasn’t just a visit to a pub — it was a journey back to a treasured part of Paul’s identity.

This is why Penny is so passionate about what she does. She understands that dementia care is about so much more than support — it’s about connection, dignity, compassion, and helping people hold onto the moments and memories that matter most.

We are so proud of the love and dedication our team shows every single day, and we’re equally proud to work in partnership with Alzheimer's Society to make meaningful moments like this possible.

Because everyone deserves to feel seen, valued, and remembered. 💜 Alzheimer's Society

Yesterday we celebrated World Mental Health Day by coming together as a community 💚

We were incredibly grateful to receive beautiful cake donations from Bakes by Lil and Dee Weatherill — thank you for helping make the day extra special 🍰✨

We designed activities to help young people better understand themselves, express their feelings, and focus on positive wellbeing. We also attended a Mental Health Day event which ended in a brilliant surprise and we danced our socks off — a reminder that mental health matters for everyone, including the amazing people who support and care for others every day 💃🕺

Looking after our mental health is so important, and today was all about connection, support, understanding, and joy.

Yes — Stephen always makes sure his guitar matches his shirt perfectly 🎸

Pleasure working alongside such an important service in our local community 🫶🏻

A huge thank you to CPO (Creating Positive Opportunity) Digita Project in Grimsby for their generous donation of 12 brand new laptops 💜

For many of those we support, access to a laptop is not a given. It can be the difference between being able to apply for housing, search for work, access support services or stay connected with the outside world… or not.

These laptops will be used to provide practical digital support, helping people rebuild confidence, gain independence and take important next steps forward.

CPO is a local organisation dedicated to creating opportunities through digital inclusion, supporting people to develop the skills and access they need in an increasingly digital world. Their work is making a real difference across our community.

This is more than a donation of equipment. It is access, opportunity and a step towards greater independence for those who need it most.

Thank you to everyone at CPO for your support and for helping remove barriers that so often go unseen.

And just like that… HAF Spring ‘26 is over! 🌸✨

What an unforgettable half term it’s been! From the thrills and chills of York Dungeons 👻 to bouncing non-stop at Inflatanation and Airkings 🤸‍♂️, the energy has been incredible.

We took on the challenge at Ninja Warrior 💪, swung through the trees at Go Ape 🌳, and connected with nature during an amazing visit to Yorkshire Wildlife Park 🐾. To top it all off, we wrapped up with a massive youth club day full of fun, laughter, and great memories 🎉

A huge thank you to everyone who made it so special..... what a week! 🙌
