A very special shout out to member Malc Pearce on his recent heroic effort swimming the English Channel ๐Ÿ‡ฌ๐Ÿ‡ง ๐ŸŠโ€โ™€๏ธ ๐Ÿ‡ซ๐Ÿ‡ท

Malc's inspirational and emotional journey saw him complete the 35 mile crossing in an impressive 14hrs 58min ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘

As if this wasn't enough of a challenge, Malc will be joining forces with friends and fellow members Neil, Stuart, Rich and Tom (AKA The Backstroke Boys) for a team relay of the channel next month.

The team are fundraising for local charity Harbour Place Grimsby, supporting those who are homeless. If you wish to donate, the just giving link is in the comments.

โœ‚๏ธ IT HAPPENED! ๐Ÿ’›

Today, two regular customers at Grimsby Health & Wellbeing Centre, Nanette and Chase, shaved their heads, and what a heartwarming moment it was!

The turnout was absolutely amazing. Thank you to everyone who came along to cheer them on๐Ÿ’™.

Just over a year ago, Nanette was diagnosed with tonsil cancer. She faced three surgeries, six weeks of radiotherapy, weekly chemotherapy, and so much more. Last month she received the news she'd been waiting for: she is CANCER FREE. ๐ŸŽ‰

Today was her way of giving something back to Macmillan Cancer Support, the charity that was by her side every step of the way. And true to his word, son Chase was right there beside her.

Nanette would like to say a huge, heartfelt THANK YOU to everyone who has supported her throughout her treatment, and donated: "Your kindness means the world ๐Ÿ™"

Together, you've raised an incredible ยฃ1,300 for Macmillan Cancer Support! ๐Ÿ’›

Nanette is also donating her hair to the The Little Princess Trust, making wigs for children who have lost their hair through illness.

Brave Mum & Son Go Bald for Charity This Wednesday! ๐Ÿฉท

After being diagnosed with tonsil cancer, enduring three surgeries, six weeks of radiotherapy, and chemo โ€“ regular visitor to the Health & Wellbeing Centre - Nanette finally got the all-clear last month. Now she and her son Chase are shaving their heads together for Macmillan Cancer Support.
