Making It Real – Professional Networking Event

Looking to strengthen your professional connections across North East Lincolnshire?Join us for Making It Real, a professional networking event bringing together organisations from across the Health and Social Care, community and VCSE sectors.

Taking place at Grimsby Town Hall on 14 September 2026, the event will feature 10 local teams and organisations, each providing a service spotlight and sharing key information about what they do and how professionals can access or refer into their services.

There will be two presentation sessions, with time in between to network, meet colleagues from across the sector and enjoy some coffee and cake.

Are you an experienced social work leader with significant expertise in the Mental Capacity Act (MCA), Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DoLS) and Safeguarding Adults?

We're looking for an exceptional professional to join us in this newly created role, providing strategic and operational leadership across North East Lincolnshire.

This is a unique opportunity to shape practice across an entire health and social care system, drive continuous improvement and champion the rights, freedoms and wellbeing of adults at risk.

What we’re offering:
• Salary: £54,131 – £60,000
• Permanent, full-time position
• 34 hours per week with flexible working
• Based at Heritage House, Grimsby
• Enhanced DBS required

We’re looking for a strong and credible leader with significant Adult Social Care and Safeguarding experience, including MCA, DoLS and Court of Protection work, alongside a Social Work or Nursing qualification and Best Interests Assessor qualification.

Support for carers following a dementia diagnosis.

If someone close to you has recently been diagnosed with dementia, you don't have to navigate the journey alone.

The Alzheimer's Society Carers’ Information and Support Programme (CrISP) is a free programme for family members and friends supporting someone with dementia.

Delivered through four weekly workshops, CrISP offers a friendly and confidential space to share experiences, ask questions and gain practical information and emotional support.

The sessions will cover:
• Understanding dementia
• Support and care for a person with dementia
• Support services available
• Planning for the future

📅 3rd, 10th, 17th & 24th September 2026
