The Cove is a safe, welcoming space for women to drop in for a cuppa and chat and access general support on all of life stressors.

Run by women for women who have multiple expertise. A confidential space is also available for 121 support.

At Modern Matriarchs CIC, our purpose is simple: to support and empower women across North East Lincolnshire, ensuring our community is a place where female voices are heard, valued and safe.

Visible female leadership matters across community groups, local institutions and decision making spaces. When local conversations focus on the representation of women and women's rights, we want to remind every woman in our region that your experiences, leadership and safety are paramount.

We remain entirely non political and independent, focused solely on creating safe spaces, supporting women's wellbeing, and advocating for equal opportunities for all women in our area.

Our doors, drop ins and supportive spaces are open as always to any woman needing a safe place to connect, lead or be heard.

Join us at The Cove After Dark for "The Roots of Sisterhood," a special women only evening of art and connection. We're celebrating community and creativity as we paint our own mystical Tree of Life. 🌳🎨

Whether you're an experienced artist or just looking to try something new and meaningful, this guided workshop is for you. All materials are included, plus a warm and welcoming space in The Snug.

We’ve had some fantastic conversations with local residents so far during this month’s open community events across Grimsby and Cleethorpes.

Our team is attending these open sessions throughout August to represent the needs of local women, advocate for safe community spaces, and connect directly with residents.

We kicked off our local community drop-ins earlier this week, and representatives from Modern Matriarchs will be at the next upcoming open sessions:

Wed, 05 Aug (10:00 – 12:00): United Reformed Church (Weelsby Road)

Thu, 06 Aug (10:00 – 12:00): Cleethorpes Cricket Club (Chichester Road)

We’re attending these public sessions to ensure women’s safety, community support, and local services remain at the heart of conversations in North East Lincolnshire.
