We are so proud to see LRDP alumnus Dr Ramin speaking to the General Medical Council (GMC) about his journey to registration.

Refugee doctors like Ramin must pass the GMC's rigorous clinical exams in order to gain professional registration and continue to provide good, safe patient care.

LRDP works closely with the GMC to ensure that our doctors are getting the best possible guidance on their journey to registration.

We would like to wish Ramin all the very best with his forthcoming career in General Practice ✨ 🩺

Since 2019 we have helped around 50 refugee doctors to return to work, and many of those have moved into specialist work.

Last week, we were joined by LRDP alumnus Dr Alina Desheva, who co-delivered our Clinical Skills Day alongside Clinical Leader Dr Yihya Al Eryani. Alina previously passed the required Clinical English and Clinical exams with LRDP, and Dr Yihya's help and support, and is now working as a Cardio-Diabetes Clinical Fellow for Lincolnshire Community and Hospitals NHS Group.
Huge thanks as always to our colleagues at the Post Graduate Education Department at Lincoln County Hospital, for their warm welcome and access to cutting-edge equipment.

Pictured left to right are: Dr Yihya Al Eryani, Dr Alina Desheva and LRDP's Emma Riley.

Currently undertaking a self-directed introduction to using a well-loved (and now officially 'dog-eared') textbook. Her enthusiasm was high, but unfortunately her attention did seem to wander a little from time to time...
