Do you feel safe in your neighbourhood?

By taking a few minutes to tell us what issues matter the most to you, we can plan and prioritise our work across East Sussex

Last year, 429 residents told us about their concerns in the Community Safety Survey. The main issues raised were:
• drug- and alcohol-related harm reduction
• tackling serious violence
• improving road safety
• addressing anti-social behaviour

Every voice is important.

We were delighted to present the Crowborough Community First Responders with a donation of £122 from the Parish Office photocopying and laminating service.

Every photocopy and laminated document completed through the office helps support this fantastic local voluntary service and the vital work they do within our community.

A huge thank you to everyone who uses the service and helps make donations like this possible. Your support is directly helping the Crowborough First Responders continue providing rapid emergency assistance when it is needed most.

A celebration event was held in honour of Di Kelly, recognising her long and dedicated service to the community as Chair of Withyham Parish Council.

In recognition of her contribution over many years, she was awarded the Freedom of the Parish by the new Chairman of the Parish Council. This is one of the highest honours a parish can give and is awarded to individuals who have given outstanding service and commitment to the local community.

The event was a warm celebration of her leadership, dedication, and the lasting impact she has made on parish life.

A representative from The Dorset Arms, Withyham attended Monday evening’s Parish Council meeting to update the Council on plans following the recent fire.

We were very pleased to hear that plans to reopen the Dorset Arms are very much underway. It will, however, be a long process and residents are kindly asked to bear with them while work progresses.

The Parish Council joins the community in thanking the fire service for their swift response. Thankfully no one was hurt and the fire was contained without spreading further, which was a huge relief to everyone.
