🚨 You can run from court… but you can’t hide forever. 🚨

Last year, this driver was arrested by the Sergeant for drug driving, driving without a licence, and driving without insurance.

When his day in court arrived, he simply didn't turn up. The court responded by issuing a warrant for his arrest.

Fast forward to yesterday.

Acting on timely intelligence, the same Sergeant spotted and intercepted the driver on the A3. With support from Roads Policing officers, TPAC tactics were used to safely stop the vehicle and prevent a pursuit.

The driver's situation hadn't improved:

🍺 Roadside breath test: 66µg
🚫 No driving licence
🚫 No insurance
📄 Three active warrants

The vehicle was seized and the driver arrested.

A reminder that ignoring court appearances doesn't make your problems disappear—it usually makes them much worse.

⚠️ Dangerous. Illegal. Completely overloaded. ⚠️

Surrey Police's Commercial Vehicle Unit stopped this Iveco on the M25 at Leatherhead... what looks like a 7.5 tonne lorry was actually only a 3.5 tonne van. 🚛

When weighed, it was found to be:
❌ 31% over on Axle 1
❌ 76% over on Axle 2
❌ 110% over its gross vehicle weight

Total weight: a staggering 7350kg - more than DOUBLE its legal limit. 🤯

The driver was issued multiple tickets and the vehicle was immobilised until the load was removed and it could be safely reweighed.

Overloading puts everyone at risk through poorer braking, handling and tyre failure. It’s never worth it. 🚔

“That is absolutely ridiculous…” 📹🚔

That was the reaction from and officers after spotting this driver using a handheld mobile phone with BOTH hands off the wheel, while driving on the M25 near Cobham Services during last week.

The driver admitted he was texting a friend📱❌

He’s now been issued a ticket and faces:
⚠️ 6 penalty points
⚠️ £200 fine

No text is worth risking lives. Keep your eyes on the road and your hands on the wheel. 👀🛣️

You don’t normally see our Vanguard officers in a marked car—they’re usually flying under the radar in unmarked vehicles!

But this weekend, the Skipper decided to jump into a marked RPU (Roads Policing Unit) car.

And it didn't take long for action. The very first car stopped has a history of previously failing to stop for the police. Well, they certainly weren't given that option this time around!

🛑To make matters worse, the driver decided to chance it and produced a completely fake temporary insurance document.

Here’s how the stop ended:

🚗 The car was seized on the spot.
👨‍⚖️ The driver was reported directly to the court.
📉 He was already sitting on 8 points for previously failing to stop at the scene of a collision!

Keeping our roads safe and holding rule-breakers accountable, day in and day out. 🚔💪

🤦‍♂️ A quick lesson in how NOT to pay a parking fine. 👀🚫

This motorist in Guildford decided that waiting in stationary traffic was the right time to pay her parking fine on the phone.

She did it with an unmarked unit alongside.

A Traffic Offence Report (TOR) has been issued, meaning a hefty £200 fine and 6 points on her licence.

Whether you are moving or stopped in traffic, the law is exactly the same: hands off the phone.

📱 Phone down
🛑 Focus on the road
❌ Avoid a £200 fine and 6 points on your licence.

📱 At 2:30 AM on the M25 near Chertsey, a driver thought it was the perfect time to send a WhatsApp message—failing to notice our fully marked patrol car driving right alongside her.

Our team is out at all hours, and the late-night text cost this driver her car and a ticket straight to court. When stopped, officers discovered she was also driving completely uninsured.

To make matters worse, she already has 6 points on her licence and a previous "totting up" disqualification.

Distracted driving risks lives. No message is worth it.
❌ No Insurance = Car Seized
📱 Phone + Driving = Court Date

The driver of this vehicle was seen using their handheld mobile phone by on the M25, Leatherhead.

Sirens were activated to try and stop the driver, but they had no idea the officer was next to them and the only way to get their attention was knocking on the passenger door.

When eventually stopped, the driver provided a breath sample of 64ug (nearly twice the legal limit of 35) and was arrested.
