🚨The driver of this Honda Civic failed to stop for police👮🏼

After a short pursuit, the driver de-camped and ran off. 🏃🏼💨

A local response unit caught up with the driver on foot shortly afterwards.

The driver was on his way to court, where he was on trial for other matters.

The car was seized. 🔒

The driver was arrested for:
❌Drug drive
❌Driving while disqualified
❌Driving without insurance

🚨The driver of this MG has been stopped by officers on three separate occasions in three different vehicles.

Since 1978 the driver has only ever held a provisional licence and has never passed a driving test. ⛔

Yesterday he was targeted and stopped in Worplesdon. He was reported and vehicle seized.🔒

📱🚔🌿 Already awaiting trial. Then stopped again.

A officer spotted this van driver on 📍Woking Road, Guildford using a mobile phone behind the wheel while not wearing a seatbelt.

When officers stopped the vehicle, further checks revealed another concern.

🧪 A roadside drugs test returned a positive result for co***ne.

What makes this stop particularly concerning is that the driver is already awaiting trial after being arrested by the on the M25 earlier this year for:

📱 Using a mobile phone whilst driving
🌿 Drug driving

The outcome?

🚔 Driver arrested for all offences

Awaiting trial is an opportunity to reflect on previous decisions.

Instead, this driver has found themselves facing even more questions to answer.

⚠ Phone distractions, not wearing a seatbelt, and drug driving all increase the risk to everyone on our roads.

🚔📚 Today's insurance lesson comes with a vehicle seizure...

This driver was stopped in 📍Chipstead, by officers, while driving a vehicle that wasn't insured.

When questioned, the driver believed they were covered by the "drive other vehicles third party" clause found on some comprehensive insurance policies.

There was just one problem...

🚗 The uninsured vehicle they were driving was also their own vehicle.

The "drive other vehicles" extension is designed for driving someone else's vehicle in certain circumstances. It doesn't provide insurance for a vehicle you own but haven't insured in its own right.

The outcome?

📋 Traffic Offence Report issued for driving without insurance
🚗 Vehicle seized

🚔❄️ Some drivers never seem to get the message...

Last week, this Renault van caught the attention of Officers due to concerns around its documentation.

Fast forward to Operation Riptide and officers spotted it again in the Woking area.

📋 What followed was a checklist of offences:

🚫 Expired driving licence
🚫 No insurance
🚫 Expired MOT
🚫 No vehicle tax

And then things got even worse...

Despite being arrested for drink driving in July, the driver was still willing to take risks behind the wheel.

A roadside drugs test returned a positive result for co***ne. ❄️

Result?

🚔 Driver arrested
🚗 Vehicle seized

The paperwork wasn't in order. The vehicle wasn't legal. And the driver wasn't fit to be on the road.

🚔 Déjà vu all over again...

Officers stopped this vehicle on 📍Oatlands Drive, Weybridge for a routine document check.

The driver was using a Brazilian driving licence and had been living in the UK for well over a year.

Sound familiar?

It certainly did to the officer who carried out the stop.

👀 The same officer stopped the same driver last year for driving on the same Brazilian licence and without insurance. That incident resulted in the driver being sent to court.

Fast forward to today, and the situation hadn't changed.

❌ Driving otherwise than in accordance with a licence
❌ Driving without insurance

The outcome?

🚗 Vehicle seized
📋 Driver summonsed to court

And this time, the driver now faces the prospect of a driving disqualification through totting up points.

One stop might be a lesson.

Two stops for the same offences? That's an expensive reminder. 🚔

🏍️ Built for the circuit, not the commute...

One of the motorcyclist stopped this vehicle in 📍Camberley after it was spotted being ridden on the road despite a number of obvious defects.

Checks revealed:
❌ No registration plate
💡 No brake lights
🔧 Additional vehicle defects
❌ No insurance
❌ No driving licence
❌ No MOT

The outcome?

🚗 Vehicle seized
📋 Driver reported

Track bikes are built for the track. Once they're used on public roads, they must meet the same legal requirements as any other vehicle.🚔

🚔 What started as a seatbelt stop quickly escalated...

officers stopped this vehicle in 📍West Molesey after noticing that neither the driver nor passenger were wearing a seatbelt.

For the passenger, it meant a ticket. 🎫

For the driver, things were about to get a lot worse.

Checks revealed:
❌ No insurance
❌ Illegal number plates

And then officers uncovered something even more significant...

👮 The driver was wanted in connection with an attempted burglary.

The outcome?

🚔 Driver arrested
🚗 Vehicle seized

A reminder that what might seem like a minor traffic offence can often lead officers to uncover much more.

🚨The driver of this Nissan failed to stop for officers at a stop site in Camberley at the weekend. 🫸🏼

The driver dashed around a corner and decamped. 💨🏃🏼‍♂️‍➡️

Police discovered the vehicle was on false plates 🚫 and several more plates were found in the car. Items with tags on and a foil-lined bag were also uncovered.

The passenger was arrested and vehicle seized. Enquiries are ongoing.
