We are appealing for the public’s help following a fatal collision on the M25.

Officers were called to the anticlockwise carriageway of the M25 between J11 and J10 just before 11.50pm last night (Monday, 31 August) following a report of a collision at the location involving a pedestrian and multiple vehicles.

The pedestrian, an 18-year-old man, was sadly pronounced deceased at the scene. His next of kin have been informed.

No arrests have been made.

Both carriageways of the M25 have been closed between Junction 10 (Wisley) and Junction 11 (Chertsey) overnight, along with the A245 (Parvis Road), but have since reopened. We thank the public for their patience and understanding.

Enquiries are underway to understand the circumstances leading up to this collision. We are therefore appealing for anyone who may have witnessed this incident, or have any CCTV, dashcam, or helmet cam footage that could assist our investigation, to please get in touch.

UPDATE AT 2:50AM: The northbound carriageway between J10 towards J11 has been reopened.

The M25 is currently closed both ways between Junction 10, Wisley and Junction 11, Chertsey due to a serious collision. The A245 (Parvis Road) is also closed in both directions.

Please use diversion routes and avoid the M25 Junction 10 - Junction 11 as traffic queues are expected. If travelling to Heathrow Airport or London Gatwick, please check your travel time before you depart as your journey is likely to be impacted.

The road will be closed for a number of hours to allow a thorough investigation to take place. We will update you once the motorway reopens.

We are appealing for witnesses following a serious collision in Jacobs Well.

Officers were called to Woking Road at 9.44am this morning (Tuesday, 25 August) after reports of a collision involving a cyclist and a coach at the location. The cyclist, a man in his 30s, was taken to hospital with serious injuries, where he remains.

The coach was later stopped at Heathrow Airport. The driver, a man in his late 40s, is assisting police with our investigation.

Road closures are currently in place on Woking Road between the Salt Box Road roundabout and the junctions with Burdenshott Road, Clay Lane, and Whitmoor Lane to allow officers to carry out their initial enquiries. These will be lifted shortly.

Were you in the area around Woking Road between 9.15am and 9.35am this morning? We are asking anyone who may have witnessed this collision, or who may have CCTV, dashcam, or helmet cam footage that may have captured all or part of this incident, to get in touch. UPDATE: The road has now reopened. Thank you for your patience while we carried out our enquiries.

Woking Road is currently closed in both directions following a serious collision reported just before 9.45am this morning.

The closures are in place between the Salt Box Road roundabout and the junctions with Burdenshott Road, Clay Lane, and Whitmoor Lane.

Please use alternative routes where possible, and we will provide an update as soon as we are able to.

A 36-year-old man has been charged with coercive and controlling behaviour and assaulting a police officer.

Sam Hampson (05/02/1990), of East Grinstead, was arrested after police were called to a domestic disturbance at an address in Guildford on Tuesday, 18 August.

Hampson was charged on Wednesday, 19 August and remanded to appear at Guildford Magistrates Court on Thursday, 20 August. He has been remanded to appear at Guildford Crown Court on Thursday, 17 September.

UPDATE AT 3.30PM: The road has now reopened.

We are appealing for witnesses following a fatal collision in East Clandon.

Officers were called to Epsom Road just after 11pm on Friday, 21 August following a report of a collision involving a white Seat Leon, a black Seat Leon and a grey Seat Leon.

Sadly, the driver of the white Seat, a man in his late teens, and the passenger, a man in his early 20s, died at the scene. Their next of kin have been informed.

A 22-year-old man from Woking, a 21-year-old woman from Guildford and a 19-year-old man from Guildford have been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and remain in police custody.

Epsom Road remains closed to allow officers to carry out their enquiries at the scene.

We are asking anyone who witnessed this collision or the events leading up to it to make contact.

Motorists are also asked to review any dashcam, or helmet cam footage that may have captured all or part of this incident.

This week, local officers have been out in and around Stoughton completing a series of community engagement stalls.

These sessions are a key part of the work carried out by our Safer Neighbourhood Team, whose role is to be visible in the community, listen to local concerns, and work closely with residents to address issues affecting the area. You may regularly see your Safer Neighbourhood Team out and about, but they are just one part of a wider policing family. Behind the scenes, specialist officers and staff are working around the clock to investigate offences, support victims, and tackle the issues that matter most to our communities.

These sessions provided an opportunity for residents to speak directly with their local policing team about any concerns affecting the area, including anti-social behaviour, neighbourhood issues, and wider community safety matters.

Officers were also on hand to offer crime prevention advice, including guidance on keeping homes and vehicles secure, personal safety tips, and how to report issues effectively.

We would like to thank everyone who took the time to stop and speak with us. These conversations are invaluable in helping us understand local priorities and work together to keep the community safe.

Over recent weeks, we have investigated a number of incidents involving dogs being dangerously out of control in Send.

Following enquiries by PC Quinn, Guildford’s Rural Neighbourhood Specialist Officer, a warrant was obtained. This morning, a man was arrested in connection with four offences under Section 3 of the Dangerous Dogs Act 1991.

Following the investigation, the man was issued with a Police caution and an Anti-Social Behaviour Warning Letter. He has also been provided with advice and a clear warning regarding responsible dog ownership and keeping dogs under proper control. This means that any further offending can be dealt with swiftly through both criminal and anti-social behaviour legislation.

We understand that incidents involving dogs can cause significant concern in our communities, particularly where people feel threatened or injuries occur.

We hope this outcome provides reassurance that reports of dangerous dogs are taken seriously, and that positive action will be taken where offences are identified and the evidence allows.

Today, local officers from the Safer Neighbourhood Team were out across Guildford and Ash, carrying out high-visibility patrols, engaging with our communities and tackling local concerns.

During the day:
• Our engagement stand and community hub in Ash gave officers the opportunity to speak with lots of local residents about crime prevention, community concerns and the issues that matter to them.
• One person was arrested and charged with shoplifting, following enquiries into retail offending.
• A Community Resolution was issued for a drugs offence..
• A young person was stopped in possession of drugs and will be referred for restorative youth intervention.
• Another young person was detained and a weapon was located, with appropriate action taken.
• Officers carried out multiple ASB patrols in Guildford town centre, gathering valuable local intelligence and engaging directly with retail businesses.
• Officers also visited local businesses to discuss shoplifting and antisocial behaviour, sharing crime prevention advice and strengthening partnerships with the people who live and work in our communities.

Our patrols aren’t just about enforcement. Speaking with residents, young people, businesses and community groups helps us understand what is happening locally, gather intelligence and make sure our activity is focused on the issues that matter most.
