Tongham Bonfire 2025

A really fun evening at the Tongham Bonfire on Sunday and delighted to join the Scouts on their torch parade to light the Beacons which were a great addition.

Well done to everyone who volunteered to make such a great event happen!

We hope you had a good summer break, it has been a busy summer for us and we are now restarting our regular newsletter following the excitement of the General Election and the summer holidays.

McDonald's Application at Tongham Services

You are probably aware now of a planning application for a new McDonald's at Tongham Services.

Sallie and I had a meeting with the Team at McDonald's today and we have a follow-up shortly.

We raised concerns from residents regarding litter, impact on the Tice's Meadow from light and litter, plus traffic concerns.

McDonald's said that they would do 3 litter picks a day up to 150m from the site and they plan to manage the new natural area behind the site.

Sallie and Matt are delighted to have been elected as the two Borough Councillors for Pilgrims Ward. Matt continues as Surrey County Councillor too, bringing both councils together to work better for residents.
