📚 𝗚𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗱 𝗟𝗶𝗯𝗿𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸𝘀 – 𝘁𝗲𝗺𝗽𝗼𝗿𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗰𝗹𝗼𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗲

Guildford Library will close from 𝟮𝟬 𝗔𝘂𝗴𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝟮𝟭 𝗦𝗲𝗽𝘁𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 while welcome improvement works get underway.

𝗙𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝟮𝟭 𝗦𝗲𝗽𝘁𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 the library will reopen for 𝗖𝗹𝗶𝗰𝗸 & 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝗼𝗻𝗹𝘆, with a full reopening expected by the 𝗲𝗻𝗱 𝗼𝗳 𝗢𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗯𝗲𝗿. Loans will be extended during the closure, so customers won’t incur fines.

✨ Improvements include a vibrant new children’s library, more study space, improved seating and flexible areas for events.

Popular activities including 𝗥𝗵𝘆𝗺𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲, 𝗦𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗕𝗼𝗼𝗸 𝗖𝗹𝘂𝗯 will continue at the Yvonne Arnaud Theatre during the works.

𝗔 𝗻𝗲𝘄 𝗿𝗲𝗴𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗯𝗶𝗿𝘁𝗵𝘀, 𝗱𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗵𝘀, 𝗺𝗮𝗿𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗴𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗰𝗶𝘃𝗶𝗹 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗻𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽𝘀 is also expected to open at the library from November.

The hot weather continues, look out for each other, especially the elderly and vulnerable

Hot weather is expected across Surrey today.

Higher temperatures can cause serious health issues for some people. NHS Surrey and Sussex has issued advice on what we can all do to keep ourselves and others well.

Johnstons Walk now has some double yellow lines which we’ve been trying to sort for a couple of years now. The residents were unhappy with the parking near this triple junction, it was unsafe even I had a near miss here as you couldn’t see round the bend.
The double lines should solve this, no more bad parking 🅿️

A week ago I reported this mess, today it was gone!!!

🚮 Myself and Gillian just did a litter pick of QEP & filled two bin liners.
Much more could be done but time ran out for us. We spent a good 2hrs near the shops and round the back of Tesco Express.
We did find 10 huge heavy Gas Canisters thrown in the bushes.
Good job done for a little while 🚮
