Congratulations to Walton group member, Nigel, and volunteer, Saw Koon. Both had their paintings accepted for show in the Making Space exhibition at Riverhouse Barn, Walton. The exhibition ends on 23rd August so there's still time to come along and see them.

Football and farewells at the Knaphill Group this morning! During a 70s themed session led by the Two Johns, Mike was deemed the winner of the World Cup sweepstakes and Sharon received a beautiful ‘Carefree Days’ Rose as a leaving present… Here’s to wishing her many ‘Carefree Days’ over the summer, after all the wonderful work she has done for us over the years. An afternoon of farewells at our Walton group. We said a sad ‘Goodbye’ to Sharon, who’ll be leaving us in September after 8 years as TALK’s Operations Manager. All our members and volunteers will miss her very much. Also ‘Goodbye’ and huge thanks to longstanding volunteer, Monica, who’s leaving us after 11 years of loyal service. Last but not least, we said goodbye to Walton Centre for the Community. This was our last session there after 20 years. We thank all the staff at Walton Centre for all their support

The Walton group will be moving to Hersham Centre for the Community in September, so we’ll be able to continue our great work.

An afternoon of farewells at our Walton group. We said a sad 'Goodbye' to Sharon, who'll be leaving us in September after 8 years as TALK's Operations Manager. We are looking for a Support & Impact Coordinator to join the team!

The Support & Impact Coordinator plays a central role in making sure TALK’s services are well organised, person-centred and able to demonstrate the difference they make.

This role is focused on the member journey — from first referral and home visit through to group placement, ongoing support and follow-up — as well as the systems and information that sit behind TALK’s services. The postholder will help ensure that new members and families are welcomed and supported, that service records and processes are well maintained, and that TALK has the data, feedback and insight it needs to understand its impact and continue improving its support.

The role will also support the practical running of the charity by helping to maintain key systems, service administration, and by contributing to the development of a joined-up and responsive support offer for people living with aphasia.

New volunteer, Izzy, at our Knaphill group recently presented her very first session titled 'Where am I?'

We were treated to a wonderful whirlwind tour of the world and our members had great fun identifying famous landmarks and traditional national costumes as well as enjoying conversations and sharing memories about their own travel experiences.

TALK Group Coordinator, Anna, was also on hand to offer additional support at a truly colourful and lively session.
