Two 17-year-old boys have been seriously injured after the car they were travelling in was involved in a collision on Saltburn Lane on Saturday afternoon, 6th June.
Police were called to the collision at 4:45pm, and the road was closed for several hours whilst those involved were transported by ambulance to James Cook University Hospital and officers carried out an investigation of the scene.
The 17-year-old driver of a black Ford Fiesta, which was heading from Saltburn bank towards the A174, and another 17-year-old boy travelling in the back of the car, have been left with life threatening injuries.
A 15-year-old boy in the back of the car was also taken to hospital with a broken leg, several cuts and suffering from shock.
The fourth passenger, an 18-year-old man who was a front seat passenger in the car, was checked over at hospital for cuts and shock.
The driver and passenger of the other vehicle involved in the collision, a silver Toyota Corolla travelling in the opposite direction, suffered minor injuries and shock. The 54-year-old man and the 18-year-old woman were taken to hospital for checks.
