Impactful Parents is coming to East Lothian!

We’re excited to be bringing Impactful Parents to East Lothian for the very first time, giving local parents and caregivers the chance to get creative, build confidence, learn new skills and take their next step towards work, training or further learning.

Impactful Parents is a FREE Stage 1, non-traditional creative employability programme for unemployed or underemployed parents.

Through the programme, you’ll have the opportunity to:

🎨 Take part in creative arts workshops
✨ Discover your creative side and build confidence
📚 Gain qualifications
🤝 Connect with other parents
💬 Receive 1:1 and group support
🚀 Explore opportunities for work, courses and training

You may be eligible if you are:

👨‍👩‍👧 A lone parent
♿ A disabled parent
👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 A parent with 3+ children
🌍 A parent from an ethnic minority
👶 A parent whose youngest child is under 12 months
💛 A parent under 25

East Lothian Works is offering Quick Grants to organisations delivering projects that help young people (16+) and adults take their first steps towards employment, training, or a positive destination.

📢 Employer Recruitment Incentive - Funding Now Available!

The Employer Recruitment Incentive (ERI) offers funding of up to £6,000 towards newly created job opportunities for individuals who meet the eligibility criteria.

📢Parental Employer Recruitment Incentive - Funding Now Available!

Are you an employer in East Lothian looking to grow your team and make a meaningful impact? Funding is available through our Parental Employer Recruitment Incentive (PERI).

East Lothian employers can apply for up to £6,000 to create new, sustainable roles for eligible parents who are currently unemployed and not in full-time training or education.

Roles must:
• Be new (not replacing existing staff)
• Pay the Real Living Wage
• Align with Fair Work Principles

Eligible candidates must live in East Lothian and meet one specific criteria: Lone parent, Parent or child with a disability, Parent with 3 or more children, Parent from a minority ethnic background, Parent with a youngest child under 1, Parent under 25, Other low-income parents (e.g. Kinship Carers)
