Big day tomorrow as the domiciliary workers have voted against management proposals for their new working arrangements and we will be going back to management to seek progress.

Really well attended meeting today in Musselburgh of the domiciliary care workers to discuss their proposed change of contract. Some very difficult questions and angry workers. Ballot papers will be out next week after the next meeting in Haddington.

UNISON will be meeting with all their domiciliary members regarding their possible new contracts. We will be at the Fisherrow Community Centre on Thursday 31st May and the Townhouse Haddington on Thursday 7th June.

I had a great day in Dunbar. What lovely UNISON members we have in East Lothian. I visited the Grammar School, the new library and community centre and the leisure centre which is situated on top of a hill over looking the sea. Fabulous in such amazing weather. Off to North Berwick today. If you want a visit from UNISON then please let me know.
