"At Jemini we do things differently, we call it the 'Jemini Way' - it's all about putting the needs of the resident first and supporting them in their day to day living." Jemini Response is a small local community-based service for residents with Autism and learning disabilities. Our residential homes are just that, 'HOME' for our residents and we support and care for them both

emotionally and physically. We have four modern homes based in Hailsham and Eastbourne, boasting all the facilities needed, whilst keeping that homely, caring feel. All of our homes are adapted to create Autism friendly environments and our residents are encourage choose their own colours and to decorate as they like.

Stephen and Charley went swimming at the Sovereign Centre Eastbourne. They wanted to explore the changes to the pool… and they weren’t disappointed! There’s an underwater-themed interactive wall, a waterwheel with a tipping bucket and water jets, so Stephen couldn’t wait to get into the water! 🏊

Getting a haircut can be a distressing experience for some adults with autism - the noise of the clippers, the sensation of scissors, itchy hair, tight capes, and the challenge of sitting still… it can all feel overwhelming.

That’s why we take time to build up to each visit, but having an understanding and caring barber or hairdresser is essential to making the experience a positive one.

And as you can see, Sammy is relaxed and looking forward to seeing his new sharp haircut!

The other month, Stephen and Charley went to see Hoppers at Cineworld Cinemas, and bought a new Hoppers themed cup for the occasion.
