A 14-year-old girl who had been reported missing has been located. Jessica had gone missing from Saxmundham.

Framlingham Country Show

Last weekend, the Community Policing Team partnered with the Rural, Wildlife and Heritage Policing Team to meet visitors and local residents at this popular community event. Many of the children enjoyed seeing our police vehicles, and we gave them the chance to try on some police uniform, which proved to be very popular.

We enjoyed speaking with so many people, answering questions, discussing local concerns, and even making a few furry and feathered friends along the way! 🐶🐑🦉

Thank you to everyone who stopped by to say hello. Events like these are a great way for us to connect with our communities, answer questions, and build positive relationships. We look forward to seeing you again at future events.

Police are appealing for witnesses following the death of a woman in Southwold.

Police were called to Southwold Caravan and Camping Site on Ferry Road at 2:10pm on Saturday 22 August by the ambulance service, reporting a suspected medical incident.

A 34-year-old woman was reported to have been found unresponsive inside a tent by a man with whom she had been camping.

Ambulance crew, including air ambulance, attended the scene but sadly the woman was pronounced dead at the scene.

The death is currently being treated as unexplained and officers are conducting enquiries to establish the full circumstances of the incident.

Police would like to hear from anyone who saw a man and a woman camping in the days leading up to the weekend who have not yet spoken to police.

🚓🎡 A Great Day at Aldeburgh Carnival! 🎡🚓

On Monday, PCSOs King, Hassler and Newson, along with other officers from the Community Policing Team, attended the Aldeburgh Carnival, spending time chatting with residents and visitors throughout the day.

It was fantastic to meet so many members of the community, especially the younger visitors, who were keen to stop by our stall to say hello and take part in making one of our apparently quite famous fingerprint keyrings!

The team were kept busy, producing an impressive 341 fingerprint keyrings during the event. 👏

Thank you to everyone who came over for a chat and helped make the day such a success. We always enjoy opportunities like these to engage with the community and support local events.

🚙 Vehicle Seized🚙

PC Moore from the Community Policing Team was out on patrol over the weekend and stopped this vehicle in after checks revealed the driver was only in possession of a provisional driving licence and was not insured to drive the vehicle. Pc Moore was having a de ja vu moment as this driver and vehicle had been stopped in July 2026 for the same offences , needless to say the vehicle was seized at the roadside and again the driver will be dealt with for all offences highlighted.

Please ensure you are properly licensed and insured before getting behind the wheel.

Update - To clarify for those who have made comments on this post, If a vehicle is seized in this situation the owner is charged whilst the vehicle remains in the holding depot and must pay any fees for the holding of the vehicle , the owner must then provide suitable documentation to show the vehicle is Insured/mot'd /taxed and it will then be released, this also includes the correct driving licence for the vehicle.
You can be fined up to £1000 and get up to 6 penalty points on your provisional licence if you drive without the proper supervision.

Police are appealing for help in tracing a missing 37-year-old man, last seen in Wrentham at approximately 6:30pm on Friday 14 August.

He is described as white, balding, around 5ft 8ins to 6ft tall and of medium build. He has tattoos on his left forearm of a Ying-yang and flames, as pictured.

He was last seen wearing a flat blue/grey tartan cap, a grey hooded top, grey ying-yang shorts, black socks and dark trainers. He wears rounded thick-rimmed glasses and may also be in possession of a paddleboard and two sling-type bags.

PCSO Newson and PCSO Hassler have been out and about this week conducting foot patrols and holding street meets across our communities, providing a visible presence and speaking with residents about local issues.

🌘 Don't let safety be eclipsed by excitement!

✅ Eclipse Safety Tips

Never look directly at the sun without certified eclipse viewing glasses.
Ordinary sunglasses do not provide adequate protection.
Do not use cameras, binoculars or telescopes to view the eclipse without the correct solar filters.
If you're heading out to watch the eclipse, park considerately and avoid stopping in unsafe locations or causing obstructions.
Be mindful of your surroundings and supervise children at all times.
