⏰ Five days to go! ⏰ Sign the petition for a Young Carer's Champion in every school.

Up to one million children aged 5-18 have caring responsibilities but only 4,500 schools have a lead for young carers.

We want to see EVERY school have one, which is why we're backing Vikki Slade 4 Mid Dorset & North Poole MP's call for a Young Carer's Champion in every school.

Having this kind of support in all our schools can make a huge difference in helping young carers to balance learning and caring.

Climbing for ALL with ROKT Foundation have shared with us that they still have some summer availability - see below for more details:

We are pleased to announce that we will be delivering some Climbing for All sessions during the second week of summer holidays

We have 90-minute climbing activity sessions available on Monday 27th, Tuesday 28th and Wednesday 29th July. The sessions will involve bouldering, roped climbing and indoor caving if appropriate.

These are small group sessions so children must be able to follow basic instructions and have a level of mobility as we will be moving around the centre. (if your child has complex needs, we may be able to slot in a one-to-one session on another day, with adapted activities so get in touch to discuss your child’s needs)

Young Carers and their families are welcome to join us for next week's Family Picnic in the Park 🌞

We are looking for a young carer who has experience of CHFT (experience could be as a young carer attending with the cared for person) to share their experiences on film. The film will be used to help train local hospital staff to better support young carers. Filming will be on the 29th July. Please email [email protected] if you are interested.
