Calderdale Council understands that the need for childcare does not stop when children reach school-age.
We would like to hear from parents and carers of children and young people aged 5–19 year olds about wraparound school-age childcare arrangements for their children, including term-time and school holiday provision.
The important feedback that you give will help us build a clear picture of how many school-age children across the Calderdale are likely to need term-time wraparound or holiday childcare over the second part of the decade. Your feedback will also support us in planning sufficient and high-quality school-age childcare provision across the locality.
The survey should take 10 minutes to complete - and we would be grateful if you could complete the survey by Friday 24th July, 2026.

Please take a few minutes to take our survey.

We’ll be hosting a Virtual Fostering Information evening on Thursday 18th June at 6pm. It’s a relaxed and informal session, giving people the chance to find out more about fostering and ask any questions they may have.

The event will be led by Sophie, our Recruitment and Assessment Manager, alongside Jenny and Sam, two of our Assessing Social Workers, and Adelle, one of our foster carers, who will share her own experiences of fostering.

If you work with any foster carers who may be interested in transferring to Calderdale, or if you know a friend or family member who is considering fostering, we’d really appreciate you sharing this information with them.

Book a spot!

Join us for a Virtual Fostering Information Evening to learn all about fostering with Calderdale Council.
