Applications for National Air & Space Camp 2023 are now open!!

One of the Royal Air Force Air Cadets flagship camps, will deliver specialist aviation, space, engineering and cyber training and experiences. This camp is perfect for those cadets with an active interest in aerospace and engineering!

The camp will run from Sunday 20 August to Saturday 26 August 2023, with eligble cadets needing to be aged between 14 - 20 years old (as of 26 August 2023).

Regions will be managing the cadet application process, so standby for more information on how you can apply for 2023’s camp.

Whilst we still mourn for the loss of our beloved sovereign HM The Queen for those still serving and veterans of the Royal Air Force, today is a special day of remembrance.

82 years ago, Commander-in-Chief Fighter Command, Air Chief Marshall Sir Hugh Dowding saw his efforts to build an integrated Air Defence come to fruition.

Young men from Britain, her Empire and Allies from the Free World, most barely out of their teens, sat in dispersals and in the cockpits of their Spitfires and Hurricane fighters, in the dawn's early light, waiting for the call to action to defend the skies above our nation, from all that the Luftwaffe and the Regime it supported, could muster in their efforts to crush our resistance.
At the end of a frantic day of combat, the daylight air assault had been thwarted and the allies had caused the indefinite postponement of Operation Sealion. In its relatively short history, the Royal Air Force had had its finest hour and given hope to all the Free World that victory was possible.

"The gratitude of every home in our Island, in our Empire, and indeed throughout the world, except in the abodes of the guilty, goes out to the British airmen who, undaunted by odds, unwearied in their constant challenge and mortal danger, are turning the tide of the World War by their prowess and by their devotion. Never in the field of human conflict was so much owed by so many to so few."

They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning,
We will remember them.
