Personal Assistants Network Scotland is offering taster sessions, please see their original post for more info!

Interested in trying Yoga?

We are offering an online taster session that aims to provide people working as Personal Assistants with a session of gentle yoga to support their own well-being. Supporting others is incredibly rewarding but it's important that you create some much needed time for yourself!

This session will guide you through a range of accessible stretches and postures. You will learn to connect your breath and movement, easing any physical tension. Your session will include calming breathing practices and will end with Yoga Nidra, an ancient practice of deep relaxation.

Your tutor will adapt movements to meet your own physical needs.

If interested, please fill out the form and we will be in touch.

Are you an unpaid carer or former unpaid carer?

Have your say and share your experience as an unpaid carer by taking part in the State of Care survey - deadline 10th August.

Link to survey and more details below from Inclusion Scotland's original post.

Carers UK's State of Caring survey is the most extensive survey into unpaid carers’ experiences in the UK. It is used as a vital source of evidence not only by Carers UK, but by many other organisations including Government, local authorities, health and social care services, charities and carers' groups.

With new proposals and policy changes being announced by the UK Government, it is more important than ever that you have your say!

Please fill out their 2025 survey, here: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/QN67HSN

Please note that this survey is only for unpaid carers (or former unpaid carers) who are looking after a disabled, older or seriously ill relative or friend.

There is only one day left to apply to our People-Led Policy Panel (PLPP)!

This is your chance to work alongside The Scottish Government and others to help shape policies on social care support.

Joining our PLPP means you’ll have the opportunity to:
📌 Learn new skills
📌Meet new people
📌Have your say!

We welcome applications from anyone who uses adult social care, or supports someone who does, and we particularly encourage people with additional lived experience to apply, including:
📌People living with dementia
📌LGBTQIA+ people who are also Deaf/disabled and/or unpaid carers
📌Black people and people from the Global Majority who are also Deaf/disabled and/or unpaid carers
📌Young Deaf/disabled people, and young carers aged 18–28

Visit our website to learn more about the PLPP and how to apply: https://inclusionscotland.org/disabled-people-become-a-leader/people-led-policy-panel/plpp-recruitment-2025
