Lydekker Park improvement works

A recent structural survey of the Lydekker Park boundary wall showed that renovation is necessary on part of the wall next to the Luton Road entrance. Engineering work will ensure the wall remains sturdy and members of the public and nearby buildings are protected.

Town Council contractors will begin work on 27th May. Initially a section of wall will be demolished to allow full assessment, following this the wall will be rebuilt using appropriate materials in keeping with the remainder of the wall. A temporary footpath diversion may be required during parts of this work, noise and dust controls will be in place and we will ensure that every effort will be made to minimise disruption.
