🪂 Airborne Freedom Run 🪂

10 Junior Soldiers were invited to take part in the Dutch annual Airborne Freedom Run in Arnhem. The invite was part of the growing relationship between the Dutch VeVa department and the college 🇳🇱

The event marks the Battle of Arnhem with a 10km running route from Oosterbeek to Arnhem 🏃

⏰ It’s almost time! ⏰

The college looks forward to welcoming its newest intake of Junior Soldiers (JS) this weekend 👋

For those preparing to arrive, emails have been sent to prospective JS with the details of the company they shall be joining and their time slot for arrival. Do not arrive outside of your assigned time slot as you will not be granted access ‼️

We recommend that these JS ensure that they check their individual mailbox for updates. If no message has been received, please ensure you have space in your inbox by deleting any old or unwanted messages ✉️

Upon arrival, new JS will be directed to the main parade square for vehicle parking and unloading of personal equipment 🎒

JS will then proceed to the main reception area, where you will meet your new Platoon Commander before receiving a briefing from the Commanding Officer 📣

Don’t worry! Following the briefings, there will be an opportunity to say goodbye to family and friends before entering the accommodation and beginning this exciting new chapter! 📖

Are you joining us this weekend? Or are you supporting someone who is? Let us know in the comments 👇

Last week, a group of Junior Soldiers took the next step in their faith journey and chose to be baptised at the college’s chaplaincy 🕊️

This event came after weeks of dedicated study sessions and preparation, broadening understanding of their faith and learning more about its intersection with modern life in the military 📖

The British Army is proud to support soldiers of all faiths and none, with chaplaincy playing an important role in providing spiritual, pastoral and moral support throughout service life 🤝

Congratulations to those who were baptised, and thank you to our chaplains and all those who supported them on this important occasion 👏

🛘Going Underground 🛘

Junior Soldiers from Cambrai Company recently conducted a Type 1 Adventurous Training package in the Yorkshire Dales as part of their Multi Activity Week with the Resilience & Leadership Wing.

Delivered through the ALeRT scheme, the caving activity tested physical and mental resilience in a demanding environment, developing effective coping strategies, teamwork, leadership, and decision-making under pressure. The exercise reinforced the Army’s Core Values and Standards while building the confidence and resilience required of future soldiers.
