தமிழீழ சுயநிர்ணய அமைப்பினால், ஐக்கிய இராச்சியத்தில் நாட்டுப்பற்றாளர் அன்னை பூபதி அவர்களின் 38வது ஆண்டு நினைவு நாளை முன்னிட்டு, அடையாள உண்ணாவிரதப் போராட்டம் மிகுந்த எழுச்சியுடன் லண்டன் நகரில் பிரதமர் அலுவலகமான 10 Downing Street முன்பு, ஞாயிற்றுக்கிழமை 19/04/2026 அன்று காலை 10.00 மணி முதல் மாலை 4.00 மணி வரை நடைபெற்றது.
இந்நிகழ்வு தமிழீழ தேசியக் கொடியேற்றத்துடன் ஆரம்பமானது.
ஐக்கிய இராச்சியத்தின் தேசியக் கொடியை தமிழீழ சுயநிர்ணய அமைப்பின் தலைவர் முனைவர் சொக்கலிங்கம் யோகலிங்கம் அவர்கள் ஏற்றிவைத்தார்.
தமிழீழ தேசியக் கொடியை முன்னாள் போராளி முகுந்தன் அவர்கள் ஏற்றிவைத்தார்.
தமிழீழ சுயநிர்ணய அமைப்பின் செயலாளர் முனைவர் அருணாசலம் ராஜலிங்கம் அவர்கள் பொதுச்சுடரை ஏற்றிவைத்தார்.
நாட்டுப்பற்றாளர் அன்னை பூபதி அவர்களை நினைவுகூரும் விதமாக, நினைவுச் சுடரை செல்வி வளந்திஜா அவர்கள் ஏற்றிவைத்தார்.
மாலை அணிவிப்பு நிகழ்வில், ஒருங்கிணைப்பாளர்கள் ரஜீத்தா மற்றும் நிந்துயா அவர்கள் அன்னை பூபதி அவர்களின் நினைவுச் சிலைக்கு மாலை அணிவித்தனர்.
முதல் மலர் வணக்கத்தையும் விளக்கேற்றத்தையும் ஒருங்கிணைப்பாளர் ரவிகரன் துவாரகன் அவர்கள் ஆரம்பித்து வைத்தார். இதனைத் தொடர்ந்து பொதுமக்கள் மற்றும் தொண்டர்கள் அனைவரும் மலர் வணக்கம் செலுத்தினர்.
அகவணக்க நிகழ்வில், தாயக விடுதலைக்காக உயிர்நீத்த மாவீரர்கள், அப்பாவிகளாக உயிரிழந்த தமிழ் மக்கள், மாமனிதர்கள், நாட்டுப்பற்றாளர்கள் மற்றும் குறிப்பாக அன்னை பூபதி அவர்கள் ஆகியோரின் நினைவாக சிறுதுளி நேரம் மவுன அஞ்சலி செலுத்தப்பட்டது.
இதனைத் தொடர்ந்து அடையாள உண்ணாவிரதப் போராட்டம் ஆரம்பமானது.
நிகழ்வின் போது:
அன்னை பூபதி அவர்களைப் பற்றிய தேசப்பற்று பாடல்கள் பாடப்பட்டன,
உரைகள் மற்றும் கவிதைகள் வழங்கப்பட்டன,
100-க்கும் மேற்பட்டோர் அடையாள உண்ணாவிரதத்தில் பங்கேற்றனர்,
இந்நிகழ்வில் தமிழீழ சுயநிர்ணய அமைப்பின் தலைவர் முனைவர் யோகலிங்கம் அவர்களின் உரையும், செயலாளர் முனைவர் ராஜலிங்கம் அவர்களின் உரையும், தேசிய செயற்பாட்டாளர்கள் மற்றும் பொதுமக்களின் உரைகளும் இடம்பெற்றன.
நிகழ்வின் இறுதியில், பங்கேற்ற அனைவருக்கும் பலரசம் வழங்கப்பட்டு, அடையாள உண்ணாவிரதம் நிறைவுற்றது.
பின்னர் கொடி கையேற்பும் மற்றும் உறுதியேற்பும் இடம்பெற்று நிகழ்வு நிறைவடைந்தது.
இந்த நிகழ்வை ராகவன் மற்றும் வளந்திஜா அவர்கள் திறம்பட ஒருங்கிணைத்து நடத்தி வைத்தனர்.

"Symbolic Hunger Strike on the 38th Anniversary of Nationalist Annai Poopathy – 19/04/2026 (UK)"
To mark the 38th anniversary of Nationalist Annai Poopathy, the Movement for Self-Determination of Tamil Eelam organised a symbolic hunger strike in the United Kingdom. The protest was held with great enthusiasm in front of the UK Prime Minister’s Office at 10 Downing Street, London, on Sunday, 19 April 2026, from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
The event commenced with the hoisting of the Tamil Eelam national flag.
The national flag of the United Kingdom was hoisted by Dr. Sockalingam Yogalingam, Leader of the Movement for Self-Determination of Tamil Eelam.
The Tamil Eelam national flag was hoisted by former fighter Mukundan.
Dr. Arunachalam Rajalingam, Secretary of the Movement, lit the candle in memory of those who lost their life for Tamil Eelam.
In remembrance of Nationalist Annai Poopathy, the ceremonial flame was lit by Coordinator Ms. Valenthija Mathiyalagan.
During the garlanding ceremony, coordinators Rajitha and Nindhuya placed a garland on the memorial in honour of Annai Poopathy.
The first floral tribute and lamp lighting were initiated by coordinator Ravikaran Thuwarakan. This was followed by floral tributes paid by members of the public and volunteers.
During the moment of remembrance, a brief silence was observed in honour of the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the liberation of the homeland, innocent Tamil civilians who lost their lives, distinguished figures, nationalists, and especially Annai Poopathy.
This was followed by the commencement of the symbolic hunger strike.
During the event:
Patriotic songs dedicated to Annai Poopathy were performed
Speeches and poetry were delivered
More than 100 participants took part in the symbolic hunger strike
Speeches were delivered by Dr. Yogalingam, Leader of the Movement, Dr. Rajalingam, Secretary, as well as national activists and members of the public.
At the conclusion of the event, fruit juice was distributed to all participants, marking the end of the symbolic hunger strike.
The event concluded with a pledge-taking and reaffirmation ceremony.
The programme was effectively coordinated and conducted by Raghavan and Valenthija.
