So so thrilled that the play area at King Oswy drive has been completed and reopened today.

It's absolutely gorgeous to hear children playing and screaming with excitement here again.

All thanks to a Labour Government and a Labour Council working in tandem.

It was a pleasure to get out and commemorate National Fishing Rememberance day at the Highlight in Hartlepool today. Thanks to Shane Port Chaplain for the invite and it was lovely to see Councillor Quewone Bailey-Fleet - Rossmere ward there along with Connor Stallard who stood for the Lib Dems last week.

Lovely to put politics aside and consider some of the stuff that is really important too.

Great to see the new Highlight Active Wellbeing Hub from a shiny new angle too!

Good morning everyone.

Unfortunately I was unsuccessful yesterday with not enough votes to beat Reform.

I'm going to take some time to consider my thoughts on what has been happening within Hartlepool as well as nationally.

I'm just gutted that the people of Hartlepool have lost a whole host of hard working good councillors and candidates (they know who they are!) I will be watching the Reform councillors closely and holding them to account.

At least I get to spend some more time with my kids now!

I'm so pleased that the improvements to the play area at King Oswy Drive are well underway and it'll be fantastic when it reopens later this week!

I've been working on this for years and it's only been under a Labour Government we've got the funding to replace some of the old equipment.

Still work to do, but this is what you get with a hard working visible and present councillor!
